  • it exist, but it's like really small.

    I'm theory, 2% of the world population is eligible (not that exclusive) yet they only have 50,000 members in the US, ie, 1.4 in every 10,000 people.

    so the vast majority of "smart" people think the idea is cringe

  • ok, hear he out, we make the cup so it's tall enough for them to make silk to escape, but short enough so it's only a mild inconvenience for them. less labour than current system and easier in the spiders.

    problem is we don't get a long single thread but just bundles of nets which can be spun into threads.

  • I do miss that early internet, it was more discovery and exploration and much less doomscrolling.

    and I agree that corporations destroyed it.

    i realised that the response StumbleUpon cannot exist nowadays,is because internet is just a handful of sites rather than countless small ones. God StumbleUpon was superior to wherever we have now
