  • fine dining's price is loosely coupled to the ingredient cost for everything but the most expensive ones

Gold leaf is cheap yes, but they are paying for 'the experience'

    Is it stupid? Yes

But not even close to the moderately stupid spectrum of human idiocy

  • Had an ex punch me in the face the moment she woke up b/c I cheated on her in a dream

Literally nothing I could say would make her think rationally

She was shocked when I packed my shit and left

  • And I am an old fellow that has been using cannabis daily since 1993 and I can tell you first hand cannabis emesis is absolutely a thing and is exactly as described, AND is relieved by hot showers.

It comes from CHRONIC high dosages such as vaping, concentrates, and those who smoke joints like cigarettes.

I have had these symptoms in my 30s when I used to grow and make tinctures, but I didn't need a doctor I just stopped smoking for a few days and then kept it light.

It's pretty disgusting that people just upvote whatever

  • You don't know me but I've been working in IT since before the internet had pictures, and actual credit hours in cybersecurity. Yes there is a subsection of furries that are into it, but you're naive if you think that today's best hackers even have a publicly accessible profiles.

The intersection is interesting, but points more to the confluence of social media activity and subversive mindsets than any inherent proclivity for tech.

I.e. people active on social media and therefore more well known are likely to have nontraditional values, and a certain percent are tech savvy that's not too far off from the per-capita of any other terminally online subculture.

More to the point, there are several subcultures that claim to have 'today's best hackers', anons, modders, crackers, AI bros, cryptobros, kernel contributors, hell even freaking gacha bros have a legit claim.

Being furry is no more an indicator than being into NFTs but people like to create narratives in their head that uplifts their chosen values, it's just standard tribal monkey behavior
