I can't really say as I didn't read them. But maybe someone else can answer that.
And don't forget about the slave trade part lol. He was so unphased about buying one :D I'm sure the complete story is great, but I hope all those fillers will not revolve around the same bs aspects you named.
The light novels wouldn't have been succesfull if the writing was complete trash I think
But yeah this season was kinda slow until now. I also don't get why they make such a big deal out of the reveal of silphy. Like brooooo this part is deadass boring and the logic behind is also just meh.
My problem is not that the show is weird, it's that it's weird in a way that makes me feel like the author is actually a sexual predator lol. Like I wouldn't even be surprised if he would be locked up for it.
Plenty of animes to name who didn't have to take this path to write strong and deep character plots. And just because it's skewed and morally edgy doesn't mean it's deep. It rather seems sometimes that anime authors use this element to blur over their lazy writing.
But MT doesn't even need it, as it's a fine anime either way. F.e. the father son dynamic and how he doesn't care about his 'own' family.. it's so we'll written imo. Also the part where he keeps the family together even tho his dad f'd the housekeeper. The series has great emotional intelligence and does not depend on predatory perspectives to work well.
I feel you.. but it's a structural problem within anime culture. I wish they could just grow up sometimes and not go for every cheap sexual interpretation and creepy interaction there is.
I would never let my kids watch this one, cause the show's morale is utter trash imo.
And privacy/security surely doesn't sound as flashy as all those new inventions that necessarily will demand a compromise. Once the wall has holes it will be hard to stop
Yeah nah I know this probably is an issue, but I don't like the way it's conveyed. Imo clickbait consipracy theory is not making us more reflective and aware, but just more paranoid and delusional. It's fastfood for thought in a different way.
I'm just speaking from my opinion based on different channels with similar content, I don't know the guy and his content specifically.
