  • Sure. My point stands. A leftist will get 30-50% of what they want with a Democrat in office compared to 0% of what they want.

A toddler can work out it's better that you get a small portion of what you want, instead of nothing. It's really that simple.

  • I'll give you a huge one.

Purity tests (when cosplaying as liberals). If a person isn't super-duper liberal on every single issue then you can't support them.

There's tons of this on this very site. People who will tell you they'll stay home and not vote for someone, if they only support 80% of what they seemingly want. People see this, then emulate said behavior.

Somehow, liberals would rather get 0% of what they want instead of 50% because of the missed 30% that the candidate doesn't support.

  • As someone who has exactly one ship in the game, it's not 'bad' if you just want to go 'live a space life' and do stuff like that.

It's cool you can go do stuff in-world and not have loading screens, and just fly around ships doing trading, PVE missions, or doing space stuff, it's enjoyable. There's not much else to it, but if that's what you expect it's fun.

I don't get the cultists thinking they're playing the game in some future state where it's anything more than that, though. I spent like.... fuck, maybe 100 bucks? For the hours I put in, I enjoyed it but I'd never put in the 10s of thousands of dollars other people have dumped into this game.

  • To crush your enemies, See them driven before you, And to hear the lamentation of their women.

Conquer the things stopping you from what you want to do. This can be poverty, people, or circumstance. See those things that you have beaten lie at your feet, and revel in the outcries of the things that you now have bested.

  • Yep. You literally see it all over the place.

'I personally did not get 100% of what I wanted including free puppies for everyone, so I'm never voting again.'

Sweet, so now you get 0% of what you want, instead of 50% of what you wanted. Congrats. Have fun with that sense of moral superiority.

  • Obama had an entire republican party and Joe Libermann stopping medicare for all. Blame Joe Liebermann, not the guy who tried to get it done.

Biden had one of the thinnest congresses in history, yet his ledger is still full of progressive asks. That apparently isn't good enough, because he didn't get you 100% of what you wanted.

This is the entire problem. You expect 100% of what you demand, and when you don't get it, you're 'done' and don't want to participate anymore.

Thank you for highlighting this for me.

  • So far it's been pretty good personally.

I work in stunts, and started training with a new stunt team that does some pretty cool projects. I'm not a member yet, but I keep getting invited to trainings and communicating with people in the team, so it's been going pretty good. They have a few films announced for the upcoming year, so, hopefully I get to work on a few of them!

  • The left cannot message, because every liberal has their own individual hierarchy of what the top policy issue should be.

And the left cannot accept that peoples' priorities are not the same.

Sure, the Israel stuff is awful. Do you see these people complaining about Myanmar, or El Salvador, or any of the other human crisis areas in the world? No. They aren't. They're complaining about the hot topic item and being slacktivists online, then convincing themselves that making a statement by not participating will some how get people to pay attention to them.

I've seen it since the 2000's, and frankly, I'm fucking sick and tired of terminally online liberalism. It does nothing but complain and then offers no solutions to actually get anything done.

'We want ranked choice, we want better healthcare, we want better education' blah blah blah then they sit at home and let a Nazi win. Twice.

Like, have fun riding your moral high horse down to the cattle cars. I hope it was worth it because the democrats didn't prioritize giving queer pets more representation at shelters or some shit.

  • 'Rigging the primaries' as in picking the person who had the most votes?

Cmon man. Did the dems play politics? Sure they did. Do you honestly expect people who are part of an established party to not rally around a candidate that has been a steadfast loyalist in the party for decades, who championed the original version of public healthcare, and instead, rally around a dude who says all the right things but can't legislate for anything?

This is letting perfect be the enemy of good.

  • They're also coopting far left groups to further their goals as well. Lets not kid ourselves.

Where do you think all the 'don't vote because X' reasons suddenly came up a few months before the election in leftist circles?
