  • Well, the Houthis did try to overthrow their dictatorial government, similar to Libya. It was just not supported by the west.

  • They have stated their attacks are in response to Israel's aggression in Gaza and their goal is to disrupt shipping to Israel and impact the economies of countries who support Israel.

    The Houthis are backed by Iran, and have been a target of Saudi-led bombings for a decade, since they attempted to overthrow the dictatorial government there.
