  • As for Oslo, Arafat walked away and refused everything, I’m not sure what myths you’ve been reading about it. Palestinians have rejected two-state 5 times, including Abbas in 2008.

Arafat walked away from Camp David, I'm not sure what myths you've been reading about it.

Israelis hated the outcome of Oslo so much they killed their own PM.

  • I'm from Canada. There used to be plenty of small-c conservatives who didn't care about your sexuality or colour of your skin, but cared more about what governments did or spent money on.

That's changed here too, due to influence from our neighbours I'm sure.

  • Are you asserting that Hamas appeared in Israel from thin air to commit these crimes?

    Edit:

But in seriousness, the reason Abbas is so unpopular is because Israel has refused to come to the bargaining table in good faith. The Palestinians view that Israel will not agree to terms peacefully.

The Palestinian Authority have tried to negotiate with Israel, and while Oslo would have been a path to peace, the Israelis didn't want it - you had Israelis massacre civilians in Hebron and then killing their own Prime Minister.

When Camp David happened in 2000, the Israelis brought a proposal that was interpreted as a slap in the face for many Palestinians.

  • By my calculations Israel would need to conduct a bombing campaign on Israel to eliminate Hamas from Israel.

Edit: Israel bombed the West Bank due to Hamas supposedly being present. Clearly Hamas is in Israel too.
