  • Helluva lot easier to say when you're not actively in the depths of it

  • What do I use the most? Ebooks, by far, for all the normal reasons. There's just something nice about physical books though, especially old hardback.

  • Yeah Bethesda doesn't get the same amount of leeway that a small dev that was clearly way in over their heads gets

  • Headline really feels like it's trying to imply unity is currently making a profit. They haven't been out of the red in a while. Businesses tend to die when they're bleeding money and there's no VC.

  • Well yeah, they want then to quit so they can replace significant parts of the government on every level with MAGA cult members

  • Unfortunately there's a whole slew of people who are going buy it no matter what. See the same shit with sports games. Doesn't matter how much of a lazy, shitty, watered down mess it is, people are going to buy it.

  • As the richest country in the history of earth, we can do so much better than this.

This always pisses me off. Look how far we've gotten with such piss poor leadership for so long. Imagine what the nation could look like if we had even just mostly competent leadership for the last 50 years.

  • More cost upfront, but as we've seen time and time against companies will start charging subscriptions for thing they previously didn't.

Then there'd the privacy benefits. Not needing to rely on some company to keep servers alive. Being able to more easily troubleshoot/upgrade/swap individual parts. Not having to use a different app for basically every single device. All that sort of stuff

  • Dammit lil bobby tables, not again

  • I would be incredibly surprised if it were intentional. Every single player there knows exactly what doing that would mean.

Freak accidents happen, especially in hockey. Malarchuk had his throat slashed by a skate, Pronger took a slapshot to the chest that stopped his heart, and Peverley and Bouwmeester have randomly collapsed on the bench. Somehow all of those managed to survive, it's honestly a miracle it doesn't happen more often.

  • (Potentially) invented by French soldiers!

  • I feel like pointing out that it was a splat gun and not a firearm is pretty important.

And because I know I have to say it even though it should be obvious, no, that does not make it ok.

  • Probably because of just how much death they directly cause

  • War crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes in response to war crimes ×10^10000

  • Everything about the invasion relied on Ukraine not putting up enough of a fight to warrant support from the west.

Which was a fair assumption, if they simply ignored the massive amount of work Ukraine put into getting their military into shape since 2014

  • Yeah, fixing the financial reasons would be a nice bonus, but the root cause is the absolute failure that was/is/will continue to be the suburban experiment

  • It's not going to be, it's (from what I've seen) simply the same architecture. It'll probably be what's essentially a very cut down and underpowered (as in literally uses less power) version of it. Still a massive step up from the switch, which was already well outdated when it launched, but it's not going to touch PS5 performance
