  • We're well past the point of any of the remaining "skeptics" being actually capable of reason

  • Good thing they're primarily talking about things such as aircraft, where this level of analness is sort of the bare minimum.

  • Might be more in addition to it, but usually it's as part of a fancy inventory system to keep track or who checks in/out what tool. They'll have GPS sometimes too.

Power tools are expensive and have a tendency to "disappesr", so on a big enough scale I can see where it's helpful.

  • Their chrome and play store ads will forever be seared in my brain.

  • I had to make sure I hadn't accidentally autoplayed into a new video once it hit the all the worst reasons part.

    The story is wild

  • Or we could, yknow, actually prosecute the corrupt ones. Likely a pipedream, but there is another option besides overpay them or allow blatant corruption.

  • As a Missourian, it's funny how quickly a lot of the criticisms against legal weed went away once they realized just how much money ($1B in a year) it was going to bring in for the state. It's almost as if a pretty large portion of conservatives don't actually have strong moral convictions other than making sure their side wins.

  • ...with the primary purpose of getting you to buy the paper.

Just because clickbait has changed forms doesn't mean it hasn't always been around

  • There's no "these days". The point of headlines has always been to catch your attention. The only difference is they're trying to get clicks, not sell a physical newspaper at a stand.

  • Combine that with people generally being a lot more lax with regards to following traffic laws and pedestrians who are expecting cars less, you've got a recipe for distatser.

  • I mean yeah I'd love for that to happen. Doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of people who have/continue to see it as the only realistic path out of whatever situation they're in. We're not in disagreement that the root cause of it is bad.

  • Not necessarily stupid. There's a reason military recruitment primarily comes from the poorest parts of the nation with the least opportunities

  • Is it really hard to understand why people care so much about free shipping when so many people are hurting financially?

  • Ah yes, the media that is almost entirely owned by the 1% sure is the voice of the common man. The Murdochs of the world really do just want to look out for the little guy!

    How naive can you be

  • Good thing I don't believe in a God

  • I find them somewhat useful when you use it on a relatove scale, but yeah it's pretty useless in a vacuum

  • Yeah, plenty of us fucking do

Genocide is bad. Supporting genocide unequivocally makes you an awful human being, and any just God would punish you with eternal damnation.

  • Isn't that due to stricter data collection/retention regulations in the EU?
