  • I wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to their claims when they turn off whatever parameters turn it into the world's most aggressively centrist thing ever.

  • Clearly had nothing to do with the fact that he very obviously misses apartheid.

  • It's me. I'm singlehandedly keeping the gum industry alive.

  • I've had a few of Ammo's kids pop up in my recommendations, they've been great too.

And yeah, that's the main reason I love coffee as much as I do. There's so much to learn about it, so many ways you can tweak things. It's fun.

  • I'm pretty sure you wildly misinterpreted their point.

  • The amount of people that think all drip coffee is the same is wild. Yeah what you get out of a keurig cup is probably going to be shit, because they use shit coffee. Some people are perfectly fine with that, and that's just as valid as those of us that put way the fuck too much effort into it.

Sometimes I take the time to use my mocha pot. Sometimes I'll make cold brew. Sometimes I just want a good cup of coffee with minimal effort. With the right settings and coffee, drip coffee is going to come out a helluva lot better than anything you're gonna get at a chain place.

  • James Hoffman really is the endgame of coffee nerds. I love his stuff.

  • Yes and no.

Yes I'm a caffeine addict. But I'm also a coffee snob (for myself. I dont care what other people drink, those that do suck). If i just wanted the caffeine, I'd go back to slamming monsters like I did in college. I wouldn't be spending the amount of time I do to get the best cup of coffee I can.

Think of it this way. Sure, I could just eat microwaved meals or other pre-prepared meals all day every day, but there's a reason I will often to take the time to make a nice home-cooked meals (beyond budget reasons). Same reason people bother making cocktails instead of just throwing back shots

E: just to add, this isn't new information to 95% of us. We're all well aware we're addicts.

  • As with all things, it really is a matter of implementation. Putting telemetry data and such in a place where you only have to flick your eyes at it for a second instead of looking down is a good thing.

  • D.A.R.E. was objectively a massive failure.

Turns out when you tell kids that weed is just as bad as crack, they start wondering "what else did they lie about" when they figure out weed is fine.

  • So how long until they just go back to being outright silver shirts

  • In true Google fashion, they remade the same product, gave it a new name, and made it compete with the existing one.

  • Second this. I went to school in an otherwise fairly rural area. For me, it was the perfect mix. Everything was walkable/bikeable if you wanted, but it was also less than a 20 minute drive to get away from all of it. Tons of amazing parks in the area, hiking trails, you name it. The people were a mixed bag, but that's anywhere.

Going camping for the weekend was just as easy as going clubbing. I miss it so much, and fully plan to move to the area permanently if I'm ever able to.

  • Don't bother. This guy is clearly a lost cause.

Dipshits like them will be the reason Trump wins if he does. Im sure they'll be comforted screaming about how they didn't vote for Biden as we lose anything that even halfway resembles democracy.

  • I'm not, but I'm also not a fucking moron and recognize that the current situation will get significantly worse if the guy who's pretty open about wanting to outright shoot anyone that tries to cross the border is elected.

  • I think you missed who they were laughing at bud

  • Hey I understood some of those words!

  • I've never understood why dress codes beyond "Just don't look like a slob" exist for non client facing jobs.

  • Every single dress code I've been under has included hair.

Edit: I should add, some have been more restrictive than others. Back in high school, it was pretty restrictive. No unnatural dyes, stuff like that. I've also been under ones that essentially boil down to "just don't look like a complete mess man".
