  • McConnell is one of the most evil mfers out there. But that freeze turned him human real quick. The fragility of age is really showing up now. That guy needs to retire and so do a whole lot more political fossils.

  • If we can't trust a bro anymore, what are we even left with as a species.

  • I feel all those posts about reddit looking for mods for various communities is a good indicator. They might not have lost quantity all that much, but a very small portion of quality kept a lot of reddit interesting and running smoothly. A lot of that has either just dropped entirely engaging or migrated.

I doubt everyone would move. Some people simply take it as a sign to move on and do other things with their limited time on this little planet.

  • Atypical really gave an amazing insight into how neurodiverse people experience life and what their challenges are. One of the very best shows I have ever seen. Refreshing to have the main character be neurodiverse but no the butt of the joke like other shows used to deal with the topic most of the time.

It also showcases the many issues around someone with such a different life.

Helped me to be kinder to myself just as much as simply being more considerate of people around me. I don't know them. I don't know what is going on in their mind and why they act like they do. While I always attempted to be respectful of everyones reality, getting such an intimate and respectful glimpse was pretty important.

  • Buy and then kill one of most recognizable brands of the early 21st century. Elon truly is the genius he and his bootlickers believe him to be.

  • Stellaris, picked it up again for the first time since 2019 with some new DLC from the last sale. Spent a solid 40 or so hours on it again, but I think I am good for some time now. Maybe in another four years once more.

  • How dare this be so accurate.

  • I really hope this slowly becomes more and more clear between instances and programs accessing it all.

  • Yeah, that makes some sense. Seeing the community also says created by Ernest and like half an hour ago or so. Seems to me the instance creates a local copy, once it's first accessed (or automatically found) and that has to be cached periodically. Slowly starting to click together, how it all works.

  • Yeah, that makes some sense. Seeing the community also says created by Edwin and like half an hour ago or so. Seems to me the instance creates a local copy, once it's first accessed and that has to be cached periodically. Slowly starting to click together.

  • Searching for this helped @imperor

Now I can subscribe, but it's still empty, but it's not 404 anymore. Now I can access it through the link as well. Man, this federation stuff still is a bit midn-boggling despite being such a simple concept. Devil is in the details.

  • That's the ticket! That one worked, thank you so much! Quick edit: I do see the community now and I can also access it via the link, though it's empty for me. Alas. Definitely a step in the right direction.

  • Good suggestion! Thank you. Just tried it, still 404 for me. Really odd.

  • Still returning 404 for me and searching directly on kbin doesn't give me results, sadly. Could it be also an issue with caching on my end? Like, do I need to clear cache and cookies? Would be odd, but I don't want to dismiss it as a requirement.

  • What are the most important roles in your crews?

What's the pirate code, their laws and rules?

    Do pirates cooperate or compete?

  • This is the ananswer. Took me a bit to figure out, but tags is where it is at, since mastodon does not have any Alogs trying to hook you or serve you content

  • Student debt cannot be simply expunged through bankruptcy, it requires extra steps.

After the 2008 sub-prime mortage crisis, Hedgefunds and Banks didn't stop with their predatory behaviour, they simply shifted it around. Student loans were a prime target for that. As well as commercial mortage backed securities (CMBS) rather than the mortage backed securities (MBS) from that bubble popping in 2008.

With COVID making work from home inevitable and CMBS becoming a huge risk factor as well as student loans possibly being forgiven, the financial elites have been rotating to survive another day until they can resume squeezing your pennies out of you again so they don't have to go under.

Just a piece of the shit pie that the US financial markets are. It's just a huge rackateering ring. I'd be immensely surprised if student loans were ever forgiven or university costs socialized again in the future. It's just too lucrative to fuck young people.
