  • Yes! I talked a bit to ChatGPT about my mental health to see if it would help (sometimes I just want to scream into a void that I'm stressed, and having the void talk back sounded amazing. But it never helps).

It always responds exactly like this, with exactly the same expressions. I'm kind of sad for the other user now.

  • Oh, I'm sure someone is going to hate me for this, but I really liked Lua when I was making simple games in Love2D. I think it's a shame how there's basically no applications for Lua outside of game development and modding.

  • Man, I was enjoying Deus Ex, but I ended up dropping it halfway through. It wasn't even a decision to do so, I just stopped playing due to being busy and being in a frustrating part in game (I don't even remember where or why, last I actively remember is Hong Kong, I think, but I don't think I dropped it there). Maybe I should try to finish a playthrough soon

  • Ugh, I hate it when I'm just trying to have some casual, fun sex and some no-life loser starts yelling at me that she's actually Gold 3 at ranked sex in her main account before reporting me for "throwing"

  • Beep boop. I'm writing this comment because you asked to be updated on my date.

She canceled it :(. She was only here for a few days and ended up not being available to meet with me. It's ok, I think I read more into it than I should have!

  • I once saw a website that claimed that the moon was a hologram. I guess it can still be that.

One of the theories was that the Moon was not always a hologram, but that it was destroyed (maybe in WW2?) and now the government keeps a projection of the moon to keep people from finding out.

Also all of the space exploration propaganda was faked. Here's an amazing sentence that will never leave my mind: "Occam's razor says the simplest explanation is most often the correct one. And what's simpler: that the government spent millions of dollars, spent years doing research, with international collaborations on rocket science and astronomy, and then managed to get a manned rocket onto the moon... Or that it is all a conspiracy? ;) "

  • Star Trek The Next Generation

Skip episode 1, "Encounter at Farpoint". It sucks all around. Watch it later if you're really curious but don't say I didn't warn you.

If you want to check out a "representative" episode, see Season 5 Episode 2. (edit: the episode is named Darmok) You don't have to know everything going in, it's self-contained. If you like the episode you'll like Star Trek.

  • In my first year of university, we had a fun project to make us get used to physics. One of the projects required filming someone throwing a ball upwards, and then using the footage to get the maximum height the ball reached, and doing some simple calculations to get the initial velocity of the ball (if I recall correctly).

One of the groups that chose that project was having a discussion on a problem they were facing: the ball was clearly moving upwards on one frame, but on the very next frame it was already moving downwards. You couldn't get the exact apex from any specific frame.

So one of the guys, bless his heart, gave a suggestion: "what if we played the (already filmed) video in slow motion... And then we filmed the video... And we put that one in slow motion as well? Maybe do that a couple of times?"

A friend of mine was in that group and he still makes fun of that moment, to this day, over 10 years later. We were studying applied physics.
