How to become successful in life

"I'm not a greedy fuck, I'm exercising rational self-interest "
"I'm not a practicing sociopath, It's just business."
"I'm not firing the workers who made my business successful in the first place to pocket even more money faster, I'm curtailing redundancies to maximize efficiency."
"I'm not exploiting human being's labor solely to benefit myself beyond all reason, capitalism is voluntary and they can die in any gutter they choose to instead, I'm a benevolent job creator."
We're living an Orwellian nightmare, and most don't even realize it. The reason the poor don't just start their own cooperatives is because the central purpose of capitalism is to keep them perpetuity separated from the capital means to do so, and it works.
But that's just it, its academic segregation. If it is all about "me" then we aren't a society and should stop pretending it is. If our society actually gave shit 1 about even equity of opportunity at any level, primary school should be of similar quality for all, or if anything, superior education should go to those from the most socio-economically disadvantaged families.
As it is, just as with our economy, it becomes a snowball effect. One kid with white collar parents gets them into a Charter school so that kid has Food and Shelter Security, superior schools, parents who have time to help etc, while public school kid in a bad district has food shelter and insecurity, bad schools, and parents who couldn't have done anything with 2 jobs each in poverty.
That isn't a society, it's just a scam to make a permanent underclass. That kid would have to be a naturally motivated, gifted individual to overcome that, and the vast majority of people are not.
We need to increase the quality of our main education system, not allow escape for a few to better schools and saying fuck the poorest ones more specifically. You got extra opportunity, so you should see better than most how unfair it is to others.
It's not a lovely dream, many other nations have better public education systems. We just CHOOSE to prioritize the enrichment of private shareholders over having a robust social framework that prioritizes education in more than words. Social supports aren't a lovely dream, they exist in societies where those that succeed most are correctly taxed to pay back into the society that FACILITATED their great rise to wealth in the first place.
Oh and where I live, we have a charter chain called "Challenger Schools" That advertises teaching conservative principles, so I don't see the difference in curriculums as a positive.
For better or worse, George's specials, books, and albums raised me from a single digit age in lieu of my abusive parent.
"They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it."

Are judicial branches not part of governments?
I consider judges to be government officials representing government. Governments fight themselves quite a lot.
Ban charter/private/religious K-12. Rich and poor need to be in the same public ed boat and fight for it instead of having an escape hatch for complainers and the wealthy. Oh and have it be distributed per student state wide.
Charter schools are a trojan horse by the owner class to siphon what little is left of public ed funding into their pockets, after they already cut their own taxes starving public over and over to break it. Some charter schools may be "non-profit," but they all hire publically traded, for profit charter management companies. It's just another vector for their grift. They don't care, they bribed state governments to cut their taxes to starve public education, their kids don't go there, and they'd rather not pay for the pre-literate work force they benefit and profit from. Their kids go to private schools so they never learn to empathize with human beings who aren't wealthy when they grow up to exploit them. This is a core rot in this country, our owner class is segregated from their fellow Americans from birth by design. We're basically a foreign, impoverished country to them.
If every child, special populations excluded, were forced by law to attend public schools, and the funding were spread so that poor kid districts and rich kid districts got the same funding per kid state wide, you'd see funding and quality shoot up so fast your head would spin. Teaching would become a LUCRATIVE profession if the wealthy kids of every district were mixed in to every school.
Won't happen, this country is a corpse being picked clean, but if the people weren't deluded into worshipping their greedy, sociopathic oppressors as benevolent job creators, we could turn it around by making it an American problem instead of yet another poor American problem, and making Americans with means and time take ownership instead of using their power to make it worse to line their pockets as they have for half a century.
Instead, our national argument is whether poor kids in school deserve to EAT. What a garbage country.
Glad there's some governments that are not on the crazy pills.
When, exactly?
You can lay innumerable crimes against humanity against the capitalists, but they are ice cold sociopaths, not fascists. They are as incapable of hatred of the jewish people or Israel as they are of loving their own children as more than investments with an expectation of return.
Moody's downgraded Israel on the numbers as a result of the global economic pullback caused by the logistical inconvenience of their ongoing genocide, not because of their persecution complex.
Behold the "efficiency" of market capitalism the self-serving economists love crowing about.
Efficient at making wealthy sociopaths richer for doing nothing, using the value of your labor, and nothing else.
Feel older, he's 43 now.
Republican voters are so far into the sunk cost fallacy of their cult, they are more than willing set themselves on fire, so long as their ENEMIES burn with them.
To me, that's the quintessential difference between the modern American centrist party (we don't have a meaningful left with any power sadly) and right wing party: Most of us want Republicans to have access to healthcare they can afford, utilities that work, safe food and water, and education, we all know they fucking need that last one desperately.
Modern Republicans, on the other hand, would very much like if those that opposed them (or are even just minding their own business but don't align with the rigid tenets of their cult) were dead, preferably very painfully while they watch.
Note all the obnoxious signs on many of their homes openly "jokingly haha" pining for the opportunity to shoot someone who gets too close to their properteh.
...WELL ACTUALLY...
All we had to do to make Christianity decline was belabor how antithetical it was to the only value, mooaaaaaaar, of our sociopath capitalist owner class.
They control the means of mass propaganda, and the rest is history. Christianity was hurting their rebranding of the sin, character flaw, and personality deficit that is greed into the Orwellian virtue of "rational self-interest."
I guess those fuckers are good for something other than exploiting humanity, even if only unintentionally.
We haven't learned how to care for one another or the very air we breathe, and have very little interest in doing so, so I'm sure mastering strip mining the death void despite not learning how to crawl or walk as a species will go spectacularly 👍
Remember, the answer is always mooooaaaaaar.
Reckless growth of an aspect(humans) of a larger but still finite organism(Earth's ecosystem) that aspect is completely dependent on but indifferent to the damage its growth is doing, because it keeps doing it as it is its only imperative, is what metastatic cancer does.
I know our species worships the idea of infinite growth/metastasis with reckless abandon as fast as we can, but that recklessness has consequences.
Gotta love the true believers.
Too bad that IF we somehow don't destroy our shared, sole, naturally hospitable habitat, and that's an enormous if, all of this technology is privately owned, unlike the public space endeavors we starved to give the people profiting off this a tax breaks.
We're creating a future where if we succeed in making any brave new human colonies, they will be exploitative resource extractors for private companies, not humanity, and people will be born into interstellar company stores they can never afford to escape.
I used to be all in on space, what changed is knowing who we have become and seeing the blatant lack of any noble values or aspirations to take with us. Our owner class is literally pushing for colonization because they need to grow/metastasize, and strip mining the paradise we inherited that they've already conquered and saturated to the point of ecological disaster is no longer enough.
It's pretty obvious that if we can't succeed in finding homeostasis on this, the only planet we will ever know that is completely suited to our biology, we will absolutely die on the vine attempting to set up a persistent presence anywhere else, all of which will be lethally unforgiving.
There's no growing/metastasizing our way out of the many crises our reckless growth/metastasis has created.
I call it gambling with loaded market pressure dice and marked insider information cards.
