Honestly, they are compared a lot, and while seat belts should be encouraged, I don't think they should be mandated for adults.

Unlike masks, you're only going to hurt yourself.

Then again I strongly believe in the right of any adult to end their own life, even if they're physically healthy, or it's not their life.

You being against other laborers plays into the hands of our shared common enemy that created and maintain this mass desperation under threat of state violence they've captured.

If you want to get a reasonable amount of the value of your labor, you need to look up, and not lose your focus of who your enemy is, not across an imaginary line at people those multinational oligarchs have made even more desperate for their famies than you.

I believe you aren't a capitalist, but if you aren't an all too common capitalist worshipper, no laborer should be your enemy, regardless of geography. They use that "compete against one another, here's a knife, want to win? Then your neighbor has to lose" mentality to suck us dry.

How do the people living in squalor benefit despite working usually even harder with less protections than that worker who worked 30-50 years having their building being protected from those people's opportunity to do the same? What's wrong with that worker's 30-50 years of building yielding a little less so that none of them toil 30-50 years for basically nothing? The one born on side A isn't more deserving on the basis of being birthed on side A, that's nonsensical.

You seem to be looking at this from a tiny nation state citizen concerned about threats from "the other" viewpoint rather than a holistic, humanistic viewpoint.

Self-serving self-interest doesn't impress me. In most cases, such notions should be socially condemned. It's the reason humanity is on the brink of destroying our habitat and are currently killing one another all over.

The most destructive notion humanity was ever inspired to have was "ok... But what's in it for me?" Only cruelty, greed, and gluttony has ever come from such lines of thought.

It's more important to the owners to keep us largely uneducated and ignorant for their own continued dominance than it is to maximize our longevity. Also they would have to pay honet to God taxes to fund public education, something they've spent decades installing loopholes to get out of, despite profiting directly from a pre-literate workforce Pool.

Just look at our for profit deathcare system, you would think, as they demand Healthcare largely be tied to employment to keep their employees desperately loyal, that it would be in their best interests to approve claims and keep their labor force healthy enough to labor, but it's a numbers game and there's just too much profit to be had, just as with their tax loopholes, in letting laborers die when they get sick or injured rather than approve their claims and letting them eventually recover. That's a lot of lost profit when they can just replace them with someone ready to work tomorrow.

I take it you're not from the US, as we're trained from birth to be overtly hostile to the concept, as well as each other.

It would be both sad and pointless if people targeted the owner's capital defense force thugs (police) and bribed middle managers (judges/politicians).

Our oligarchs whole thing is keeping us hostile towards one another. They don't care who kills who, kids killing kids, cops killing poor, poor killing cops/judges/politicians, all livestock killing livestock to them, big woop. They only freak out when someone they consider a person is killed, there's only 1 metric that determines that for them, and even most of their bought politicians don't qualify on net worth.

The owner class has made life a meaningless farce of exploitation for most. No time or resources to indulge reasonable hobbies, maintain our bodies, even to have a family, though we are encouraged to have them without the resources to so we may create a new generation of desperate, hopeless capital batteries for the owner class to consume.

A meaningless farce that death is the only escape from, as their prescription of relinquishing your entire identity in service to their further enrichment, ie embracing "that grind culture, bruh" is a fate so dark and perverse that it makes death look like a mercy.

Their grind culture zombies are the most pathetic individuals I have ever interacted with. Dead eyes with a stepford smile. Profit husks.

That technology requires massive manufacturing capacity that requires civilization. When water and food become scarce from a changed climate, there goes that.

We won't go extinct for a time, agreed. We'll cling to our hardened structures and aging tech for as long as we can.

But humans thrived on easy mode. In a climate we evolved to thrive in. Without that, we'll become subject to nature's whims once again.

This is precisely why "we're going to colonize Mars" is a hilarious pipedream. We couldn't make a practically infinitely forgiving environment that automatically recycled our waste, water, and air work. We stressed it as hard as we could for as long as we could until it started pushing back, yet we only increased our attack.

A few peak humans growing potatoes on mars is a cute "yay humanity" moment. But you've met us. A colony of hundreds, or thousands, some born into what would inevitably be a highly class segregated system that demands their servitude, given the private profit egotists now in charge of such things, where anyone making a mistake or having had enough easily leading to boom everybody dead try again? Yeah, that'll go swell.

For profit Corporations, especially publicly traded ones, are sociopathic organizations, and their DEI marketing should honestly always have been seen as patronizing opportunism. I'm glad they aren't still attempting to sucker those groups into believing they ever gave a shit about their identity. They didn't. It was an ad campaign to get your money. It made an enemy look like a friend to the easily gullible.

I say fuck America because someone was finally brave enough to send a message to those sociopaths in the only language they will hear, and tragically all the people he was trying to rally just said yay on the internet and are moving back to fighting all the secondary wedges the sociopaths killing us feed us to passify us and keep us at war with our fellow poors.

No other war can begin to be addressed without ending this class occupation, because they see profit in stoking every other culture war, and have every bully pulpit to do so.

I'm not saying to ignore them, I'm saying we have a common enemy using those differences to exploit and murder us by amplifying every division except owners vs workers using for profit media and captured government, encouraging us to fight one another over them so they can do so.

Note the absolutely confused and terrified tone the for profit media is going through right now when they're perfectly fine when 10 kids get gunned down. That's just another wedge for division, gun control, for them to stoke as no one that mattered, to them, died.

Im saying that until we pause and dethrone the owners, they will see to it those secondary divisions remain entrenched and heated to keep us weak, and therefore they are the primary threat that must be the priority to solve literally any of our great national blights.

We cannot begin to heal... Any division... Until the instigators that keep stoking them for private profit are defeated and made subject to society, government, and regulation again instead of controlling them.

Reigning in our sociopathic, murderous late stage capitalism is step 0 to any positive change. They are the gatekeepers. Or get comfy with everything continuing to decline until collapse. It's hell now. It will get so much worse with them running government and controlling mass media.

That industry will just buy out every room in every Trump hotel for a week and Trump will tell him to shut the fuck up or fire him and hire Joe Exotic.
