  • And they're willing to take on big corporations - iirc they were representing Austin's mom after he was killed in the monorail accident at Magic Kingdom 17 or 18 years ago this July (damn I can't believe it's been that long). She ended up settling out of court, it was really an awful situation.

  • I have the jlab version and they're comfortable enough, but they're pinching the side of your ear so they do get uncomfortable after a while. I still prefer them to standard earbuds, but I'm also prone to ear infections so...

Keep in mind sound quality probably isn't quite on par with similar priced earbuds, but they're great for podcasts. +1 for these being a "glad I bought them" impulse buy.

  • I started using Bazzite last year and it's fantastic, but modding seems to be a bit of a headache on it right now. I think Nexus Mod Manager is going to really help that once its got more than Stardew working though.

  • Is that true everywhere or just in the US? I know that, at least a few years ago, a bunch of banking software in the US was still in COBOL but parts of Western Europe were modernizing their banking industry. I'm probably going back to school for computer science in the fall and had been considering trying to learn COBOL in my free time, or learning more Fortran (I have actually taken a programming class with Fortran, but because it was aimed at beginners it didn't really go in depth, but I bet it'd look good on certain resumes). It's looking like my future is in Europe somewhere, so I'm keeping that in the back of my mind while making decisions.

  • I just got off a phone interview that didn't go amazing. I've done Zoom interviews before and those are less awful. Oh well, I've got another interview tomorrow for a job that's closer and pays more even if I did really want the tech repair job.

  • These kinds of verbal slip ups are universal, look how many comments and up votes this post has.

It's funny, just laugh about it, nobody should agonize over this funny and harmless bit of being a human.

  • Nightshirts are incredibly comfy as loungewear, with the added bonus of not needing to put on pants to go to the kitchen. I grew up wearing them to sleep in and bought a few last year, they're pretty hard to find for men anymore though.

  • I have no idea what you're quoting but I knew a white South African in community college, he used to joke about applying to scholarships for African Americans because he's an "American from Africa". At the time I rolled my eyes and explained it was a term for black Americans, but I didn't know much about apartheid in South Africa at the time and the more I learn the more I regret not punching that dickhead.

Are they just not sending their best or do they all suck?
