is it still worth getting into? it seems like something I'd like but I've never played it before and don't have crazy amounts of time like I used to. should I still give it a go?
as a technician myself, I hate this. I truly don't understand why any tech would ever do any snooping. I fix dozens of devices a day, I need the password so I can test the new part and make sure everything is working as it should be after the repair. I'm far to busy and apathetic to give a shit what people have on their devices.
side note, for those of y'all with Samsung phones, there's a maintenance mode that will allow the tech to test everything after the repair but not access any data on your device.
yep. not worth the troubleshooting time when you can pull a brand new image from the servers in about 5 minutes, especially when it ties into a file server so you don't have to worry about lost data.
hm. yeah I def read that wrong. more on point I can get any part I need for my own repairs very cheap through our wholesalers so that's a good perk I guess
absolutely. I work at a phone/computer repair shop.
I have a policy called the "front desk fix policy". pretty much, if I can fix it at the front desk in under a few minutes, I'm not charging you for it. common culprits are simple software fixes and charging port cleanings.
I give free screen protectors with every repair instead of charging customers for it. the screen is the expensive part not the screen protector.
I also tend to give a 10$ discount if people are just cool to talk with. if we genuinely enjoy talking to each other, they've made my day better, so I might as well do the same for them.
the last chicane in the lap is the great equalizer. super fast lap only for the last turn to be super tight and slow, and really easy to spin out on. gotta be one of my favorite chicanes
there is a difference between racism and prejudice. that comment is prejudiced but not racist. if white was replaced with black then it would be racist, bc there is an inherently power structure in play meant to create more economic and social opportunities for white people.
I'm in IT, the difference in how I'm treated before and after I transitioned is crazy. I haven't legally changed my name yet so I just pretend to be a guy for all my jobs solely to avoid that.
that does sound super nice. I'll prob give it a go sometime soon, thanks!
