  • I was working in a brand new building and the Dyson air blade hand dryers there were amazing! They were so powerful that you only had to put your hand in, have it turn on and it wiped the water off your hand as you pulled out.

I guess the awful ones haven't been serviced like ever and aren't strong or focused enough to do the job properly.

  • Those "I'm rich" apps basically tested the app store price limit which was set to $9,999 (don't know if it's different now). Brilliant idea really.

I put this in the same category as the "Million dollar homepage" where some guy asked for $1 a pixel and hosted a page with the results. Something smart that if it gets enough attention could make someone good money for not a lot of work. And generally something that will only work once as copycats won't be seen to have the same value.

  • Google pixel 6 Pro with Google Buds Pro. Not really cheaped out but no aptx on the earbuds. I assumed low latency codec would be there when I bought a pro version of an earbud from a company that removes their headphone jack, but noooooooo.

  • Why would they? Trump's tariff would affect Canadian products being sold in the US. So Americans would have to pay more for Canadian goods with the extra money going to the US government.

The only way American products would cost more is if there's a retalitory tariff.

  • Some of the different interfaces do have filters. I use Mlmym (like the old reddit interface) usually, but the Voyager interface supports filters. I took a quick look at Photon and Alexandrite but didn't see filters in those. I think I'll switch to usign Voyager for a while.

  • Some ancient PC role playing games.

The Dark Heart of Uukrul I like this one because I think your party is restricted to having a character of each class: Fighter, Paladin, Cleric and Wizard. I learned what a Paladin was from this game and fell in love with the class. Lots of exploration and tactical battles that are on a map that is the same as where you are in the dungeon were all pretty awesome features of this game. Has permadeath but you can recruit a new person to replace the old one. Always hated doing that though.

Disciples of Steel Team of 8 characters going on an adventure to save the world. The endgame actually has you setting up armies in different parts of the world to help you when the final battle comes. Pretty neat game.

  • Oh no, now my pizza box will have grease spots that soak all the way through. /s

I'm so sick of these forever chemicals being near food. They did make life marginally more convenient but it shouldn't cost us our health. Fucking PFAS in dental floss and microwave popcorn.

  • Literally had one last night. I dreamt there were massive riots with sword and axe armed rioters were smashing up everything. Instead of a regular emergency alert, my phone had scrolling text on a blue background warning about the event.
