I gave the polls, you can look at the Fatah party to see how popular the Abbas led government is. Historically you are right, but right now Palestinians are not looking for peaceful solutions. I think Israel made them understand that they would be slowly annexed.

Edit: also I'd recommend reading the two state section of the Wikipedia article on Hamas.

I gave the other poll as it showed the impact of the war on Hamas popularity.

Hamas is popular in Palestine and other more radical parties are even more popular. There doesn't need to be a conspiracy for Hamas to exist, religion + an Apartheid state right next door is enough.

Nobody can vote in Gaza. But saying that Hamas was created and financed by Israel when their ideas are clearly popular is ridiculous.

You can say that Israel caused this mess by annexing Palestine. By putting an effective regime of Apartheid. But saying that Hamas or their actions are not popular among the general population is false.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad which polled at 72% against 43% for Hamas.

That said Hamas is becoming more popular now that they have caused his mayhem. They may become once again the most popular party.

Hamas has at least sometimes opened up to a two state solution. Most Palestinians would prefer that Israel disappeared.

None of that means that civilians should die or that war crimes and annexation should be committed by the state of Israel. But it's just plain false to say that the actions of Hamas are unsupported by the Palestinians. Just like there are plenty of genocidal maniacs in Israel there are plenty of genocidal maniacs in Palestine.

That said Israel is the occupying force, they should be held to a higher standard than Hamas and so far they have failed, managing to kill even more civilians.

You can absolutely go to a corner store and buy alcohol. It's not a coincidence that it kills 3 million people per year worldwide.

Making drugs more accessible will increase consumption, that said it might reduce the negative effects for the consumers. If we allow the sell of drugs we should do everything we can to avoid the current situation with alcohol.

Make the packaging ugly, make people understand that they are consuming something that will at best reduce their life expectancy at worst kill them and generally reduce he quality of their lives.

Sure but look at alcohol, the consumer knows exactly what he's purchasing. Didn't stop a person I knew from dying from this shit.

Same principle why Google can index pretty much all books in existence. They were sued over this and won. Same thing will happen here.

In France we've got laws to regulate this type of speech. Say that AIDS is god's punishment to the homosexuals -> get a fine (or if it's the twentieth time you do it, go to jail).

I don't find it shocking that people are banning content that some countries judge so problematic that they are ready to put people in jail for it.
