I'm really happy with the adaptation so far. I love the manga, and this looks like it will be true to the source. It looks like they are covering roughly 2 chapters per episode covering up to ch8.
Ep1- covered ch1 and first half of 2
Ep2- rest of ch2 and 3
Ep3- ch4/5
Ep4- ch6/7/8 - Even if ch8 was squeezed into the last 4 minutes of the episode, everything flowed well.
I was wondering how they would so the multiple episodic adventures between large arcs, but if they can squeeze in 3 at a time every once in a while, this anime should be able to adapt a fair bit. I wonder if they intend to cover up to ch36, before the second big arc. Since I see Sein is in the opening, which I would not have expected season 1 to get to.
I was a little lost at how fast it jumped into action at the beginning. I liked the nice little bond with Frankebro, I hope he survives our MCs when they have their final clashes. I also don't understand what is going on with the Carmilla/Shizuku relationship, like she did not kill any of the WW girls there and straight up defeated Shizuku, but just left.
This was overall a weird show, but I enjoyed what I saw and look forward to a second season.
I'm not surprised as they ran out of time, but I was greatly enjoying this show. I look forward to watching these last few episodes whenever it is they come out.
I wonder if they will release it all at once like Nier or do a re-airing like Misfit Demon King?
I wasn't so sure about this show during the first few episodes, but this series has really grown on me. I look forward to Helck and Anne's continued journey. As a fan of the Adventure genre, I hope the traveling does not end upon making it back to the capital.
No wonder he's so nimble running around with zombies everywhere if that's the path he was used to taking while growing up. It's time for the human villain group I see, a staple in zombie fiction. They made them seem pretty pathetic though, I'm not sure how they are still alive to be a threat.
Yeah, it took me a while to like the manga when I first started it, because of her obsessiveness.
