  • This is about dividing the working class and making them resent each other instead of the 0.1%. Too many people just aren't racist or homophobic enough for those divisions to be as effective as they used to be, so they needed to come up with something new that can even turn non-bigots against each other.

  • You don't suffer after you're dead. Being reincarnated and killed infinite times is infinitely worse than being killed once. If each trolley kills at the same rate, the actual amount of created suffering should be comparable, but I'd argue that since the infinite people don't revive, we can assume that the trolley is replacing their normal deaths. This means that the suffering they would experience from dying normally never happens and the infinite people option actually creates less suffering overall.

  • I've noticed an increase in posts on reddit that follow the format of:

    • Post with either a problem that can be solved by a product or a showcase of the functionality of a product
    • Comment from a different account naming the product and basically giving a good review
    • Multiple replies from different accounts corroborating the original comment and sharing their own positive anecdotes

It's very sus, especially considering the amount of blatant repost/comment-stealing karma farm bots.

  • It's illegal not to disclose when something is paid promotion. Worst case scenario, the ad blocker blacks out your screen while it detects the ad notification and auto skips when it can. We'll never actually be forced to watch the ads.

  • Idk the context of whatever the complaint is, but I just want to point out that people's noses always look way bigger when you take closeup photos of them. It's because the nose protrudes out from the face, so from a normal distance it's just a little bit closer to the camera, but from close up the proportional distance difference and therefore apparent visual size of the nose is massive. If your nose looks big in a photo, re-take it from further away.

  • I don't get why Google would agree to pay for anything. Google can survive without Reddit, but Reddit would be hurt without Google and would eventually be forced to give in. Where's that corporate greed when you need it?
