  • You make a good point. We can change who we are but we can't change who we were.

I can just see right wingers trying to make yet more laws to fuck over trans people tho saying they can only use their "assigned at birth certificate" or something.

  • I'd say it's like an updated version of MacGyver. The main trio will try to help someone, the plan will go sideways and they'll have to improvise is kinda the basic premise. Some episodes are a bit too predictable imo but there are tons of good ones!! My favorite is the one where they convince a gang that Michael (main guy) is LITERALLY the devil lol. And Danny Trejo makes a cameo. It's season 3 episode 11 called "Friendly Fire". There's some season long arc stuff at the start of the episode but it's so good lol.

  • Hundreds of millions? 1/3 of the U.S.? I don't really see that. Even if the value of your home drops to $0 it wouldn't automatically make you homeless as long as you can pay the mortgage or if you have it paid off. And the mortgage payment would stay the same cuz we have 30 year fixed rates.

Hundreds of millions of homeless people in the U.S. wouldn't just hurt, it would be a total collapse and the end of society as we know it here, not to mention we'd drag most of the world down with us.

  • Im trying to think like a money hungry, out of touch POS CEO here.

Unity uses a subscription model right? Where each year you have to renew it and agree to new ToS. Well if they just put in their new ToS that companies have to pay retroactive fees and that company "agrees" to those ToS, then that means it's not illegal since they technically "agreed" to it...

Hope to he'll it doesn't hold up in court but if Unity goes through with this who knows.

  • If you pay for a building that can house 100 workers, but only 20 come into the office and the other 80 work from home, you have way more space than what you need. You could probably rent a place half as big for half the price and still have room.

Would you rent a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with a 3-car garage as a bachelor? I mean you can but you're paying for way more than what you actually need.

  • Not just someone, the legendary philosopher Diogenes. One of my favorites stories is that one day he was cleaning veggies in a river or something, when Plato walked up and was like "You know Diogenes, if only you could pay taxes to the king you wouldn't have to wash vegetables." And Diogenes responds, "You know Plato, if only you could wash vegetables you wouldn't have to pay taxes to the king."
