It's not that some hobbies are based on exclusivity or even some other hipster rationalization, but there definitely is a period where a shit load of new people come in, read half a wiki page, then proceed to argue and talk down to people who have been at it for years. It ruins communities if the audience widens too much at once. I've been online long enough to have seen it happen multiple times.
It's not replacing artists who make beautiful art, it's going to replace artists who work for a living. Doesn't matter if the quality is bad when it's costs nothing.
Capitalism is too broad of a term to make any type of useful argument. Democratic socialism is still a capitalist way of doing things when it's miles apart from corporatism. Both still fall under Capitalism umbrella, however one is definitely worse than the other.
Ultimately, commerce will never cease, resources will always cost, etc. Just update your terminology and you'll find much more reception to your point.
I think it's a reference to cyanide smelling like almonds. In particular I remember a Jodi Foster movie The little Girl who lives down the Lane where Jodi poisons a rapist. He says, "It tastes like almonds." as he drinks the tea. Jodi Foster says, "It's the almond extract." knowing it's the cyanide.
So the punchline is setup to be something about poison but gets subverted by the hand grenade.
