  • I'm no expert but endeavoros straight after install suggests one of two drivers as sometimes one doesn't work and the other does. I think it offers the 8168 option as the connection goes off and on all the time with 8169. Sorry I can't help otherwise.

Edit: my mistake, I didn't read to the end and saw you tried the other driver. Best of luck.

  • This is hilarious but hard to share with friends.

  • Perhaps you could tell us something about Napoleon that really turns you on.

  • I feel like all my expectations from these comments were granted.

  • Shin Megami Tensei Imagine online is still going thanks to release of the source. Legends.

  • I've seen the number of carrots you can get from a meter squared, I honestly felt like they never saw a vegetable patch in their life. Qatar? Well then...

  • I've heard about Linux servers running for years. But surely they change kernel without a reboot? More of a curious question.

  • Reminds me of those one punch deaths that result in manslaughter, because damn, the back of the head is pretty fragile.

  • I did it once when I was about 21/22 in the middle of a (deserted) road. Embarrassing but I reassured myself that it wasn't dumb.

  • While I like the back gesture, it does interfere at the worst of times. Text selection and scrolling an ebook sideways for example.

  • I reckon primarily the energy density and the convenience of merely filling up. Electric cars would not have had the raw power and ease of combustion engines. At least battery tech has now caught up.

  • Amended title: give me a good alternative to YouTube and peertube.

  • We climbed the mountain in Kandersteg, Switzerland. I was basically a young teenager, we were on a scout trip there, with various other troops mostly from England. A bit like a jamboree. 3/4 up the mountain we got pelted by hail, and you wouldn't believe how painful it was even under the hood of my jacket to be pelted like that, especially against the ears. Some unfortunate ones with no gloves/hood had no choice but to cover their ears with their bare hands, and these were bleeding following those few minutes of the storm.

It was exhilarating. After getting to the warmth of the chalet we also got to go across the glacier, with yawning chasms in full view literally a yard or two away from our feet. Such things few youths have done, and I would recommend it for my own children if I could.

  • You'd be Dr Manhatten, not Kira from Death Note. 😄

  • I'd imagine that resulted in a few funny episodes.

  • If she has good qualifications, she could cook in China in a city like Shanghai if she doesn't want to get burnt out. They would give good working terms and conditions, they just want a foreign cook on the team. Moreover foreign cooks are very common in big hotels and can usually run the kitchen as the Chinese staff can still be pretty mediocre at Western dishes.

  • Sure, I don't mind calling Germany Deutschland when I'm over there to be respectful, and if a German gave me an invitation written 'Deutschland' I wouldn't think much of it, except as a bit of native speak.

Sanskrit is not quite the national language though, like Latin to Europe.
