  • A. Not a repost if the link hasn't already been posted. Bc like I said when it first failed, I figured it had already been posted, but when I searched for it, I couldn't find it. I would really appreciate it though if I did just miss it and you could send it to me. Maybe it's bc I'm on mobile browser, but sorted by top, I'm still not seeing it? Would you mind sending me the link for the article post you're referring to though?

    B. Still doesn't explain why a text post would be removed too.

My text post (not a link post) discussing the candidates was also automatically removed after the link post was removed first

Both posts were made within minutes of each other, around 6 am Saturday morning, before the voting locations had even opened.

The only posts I came across on the subreddit discussing the election that morning only provided information about one of the 2 candidates. A lot of info about Landry and almost nothing about who the incumbent was or how she was also qualified for the position.

  • Again where is the actual show of support from the rest of America? This should not be California's fight, it should be all of us fighting as America against authoritarianism.

Where are the people telling their local government they need to following the example Glendale just set for the rest of us.

  • Yep, and it wasn't even the military, it was just a local police force. I believe they killed 11 people and around 5 children. The 40th anniversary just passed.

If a single police force using weapons from 40 years ago could do something like that without a second thought, I hope people consider what the outcome would realistically be today, when encouraging people in California to strap themselves and head into a suicide mission against police, federal agencies, national guard, military, Palantir, and private military companies like Blackwater under a president who has already told them "he who serves his country, commits no crime."

  • Frustrate and impede, just don't help them advance their agenda by giving them the physical escalation they're hoping for.

An "insurrection" under Trump will not be handled the way an actual insurrection was when Trump instigated it under Biden. This has been planned for a long time.

I hope more Americans at city and state levels will start joining cities like Glendale.

  • I've been arguing the same thing about organizing, except this is not the American revolution of the 1700s.

Let's be realistic about what happens next when you encourage people to take up arms and go on a suicide mission right now.

Trump is trying to instigate a Civil War. He wants further escalation, not de-escalation. This does not end with the National Guard and Marines he has already sent to LA peacefully retreating because they face aggression from locals.

The next step will be an expansion of military takeover, and National Guard from red states being used to invade blue states

Newsome is making the right call here. Threatening to withhold taxes is probably one of the smartest things any blue territory/jurisdiction can do to protect themselves and fight back right now. California is the first, but they definitely won't be the last. We need America to unite against a coup being led by the Neoconfederates in the White House.

  • The same FBI that literally just confirmed they wouldn't be investigating Americans belonging to an international neo Nazi militia until they actually commit an act of terrorism, is now putting people that committed vandalism on its "most wanted" list. Priorities.

Neo-Nazi group ‘actively seeking to grow in US’ with planned paramilitary training event

In response to queries about the Base’s latest movements, the FBI told the Guardian that it only investigates people who have or are planning to commit a federal crime and pose “a threat to national security”.

  • Sigh... Yes let's pivot away from the actual point. How about MOVE in Philadelphia?

Telling people to arm themselves and go confront the literal army Trump has just sent to purposely exacerbate this situation because he's hoping for a confrontation that will allow him to claim there is an "insurrection"

Not to mention all the Red state Governors that are hoping they will be asked to prove their loyalty and send their own state national guard into California to help crack down on that "insurrection"

What could you possibly be encouraging 🤔
