And no, I'm not at all kidding or exaggerating: this is THE most common strategy in British Political and Social Elite circles for getting rid of such "problems" when denying it doesn't work.

Deny it, deny it was a problem, deny it was systemic, apologize and claim it was too long ago and it's pointless to do anything about it now, is a well travelled multi-step strategy in British politics (THE main strategy, even) to avoid actual consequences for their actions or lack of action.

Certainly the posh ones will tell you they value your input as you scream from the pain due the knife they plunged into your back.

And the elites over there still think Genocide is absolutely fine as long as its Whites doing it to non-Whites, hence their support for Israel and its Genocide.

Britain is maybe the best example there is of an European country which culturally didn't evolve much from 19th century thinking, at various levels (their political system, too, is an earlier, partial form of Democracy easily subverted).

Plenty of people over there do have a XXI century mindset, but those aren't the ones with actual Power.

More seriously, if you order it from an Electronics supplier, you can get a 6.2 Ohm resistor with a mere 1% tolerance (in some cases, even 0.5%).

That said an EE, except in very specific cases such as reference resistors, would generally use a 10 or 5 Ohm one with 10% tolerance for any circuit that was supposed to be mass produced since it's far cheaper and much more easy to source in the size you require.

This is EXACTLY how it went for me when I moved from a Physics to an Electronics Engineering degree at University.

Also, the trying to understand how the various circuits worked from the point of view of "electrons moving" was a hard to overcome early tendency (even simple things like LC circuits, for example, are only really understandable as ressonant stable states and for complex circuits you really have to go higher levels than "electrons" to be able to understand then in any reasonable amount of time).

On the upside when we got to things like how tunnel effect diodes worked, the whole thing was just obvious because of having had an introduction to Quantum Mechanics in the Physics degree. Also the general stuff about how semiconductor junctions work is a lot more easy to get if you come from Physics.

(In summary: Physics really helps in understanding HOW the various components in Electronics work, but doesn't at all help in understanding how to use them to assemble a complex structure to achieve a given objective. Curiously this also applies to Mathematics and Software Development)

Here however, I don't think the masses are siding with the Genociders. Granted a ton of effort has been put into trying to make the masses do so (more so in some countries than others), but the scale of the depravity of the Genociders is so extreme and undeniable that it isn't working anymore, so it's mainly the power elites who keep supporting Israel.

Mind you, Racism is definitely being leveraged (both Islamophobia and the positive prejudice towards Jewish People which is really just a cultivated variant of pro-White prejudice - "Israel has Western Values") to try and manipulate the masses, but I don't think the drive amongst those in power for pushing the masses that way is a Capitalist one as it's not clear that all that much is gained monetarily from supporting these Genociders.

Racism is a tool to manipulate the masses, but the power elites themselves aren't immune to it and hence are also driven by it at times, Capitalism or no Capitalism.

I mean, many have change to the Humanist position that "people should be judged and treated based solely on what they support and they do, independently of race", by many if not most are still ridding the whole "the entire race are victims" idea and de facto supporting Genocide by attacking the critics of the depraved genocidal actions of the self-proclaimed representatives of the "victim race".

This shit would have never reached this level if it was only the openly Fascist being Racist.

People aren't being investigated by police for criticizing Russia.

If it was only about money, they wouldn't have reacted as they did to Russia's invasion of Ukraine given all the money many were making from Russian fossil fuels and mineral wealth.

The big difference in the reaction to Russia's Genocide in Ukraine and to Israel's Genocide in Gaza (which is way worse both in numbers and in how many of the civilians being murdered are small children) is that in Ukraine the victims are Whites as are the aggressors whilst in Gaza the victims are (brown) Muslims whilst the aggressors are Whites.

At least amongst the power elites, especially in places like the US, UK and Germany, White Colonialism isn't just this old 19th century practice we fortunatelly left behind, rather it's a way of viewing the world which very much alive and widelly held.

If you're purelly seeding (as in starting to seed a torrent from scratch never having downloaded it from the bittorrent client you're using or having done it a long time ago - days, weeks or longer), without port-forwarding it will simply not work and nobody can connect to your machine and downloade anything for that torrent because all those remote machines that are trying to connect to your client have no association with your machine on the Mullvad Router doing NAT translation.

If you're downloading a torrent and then leave it seeding for a while after the download phase is over, then it will usually work fine because the Mullvad Router doing NAT Translation still remembers the various remote machines that your machine connected to in the swarm for that torrent during the download stage, hence when those remote machines connect back trying to themselves download stuff from yours, it will know that's related your machine and thus accept those remote connection and forward them to your machine.

In practice this means that it if you leave your torrents seeding AFTER DOWNLOADING is over, usually (but not always as for torrents with very few peers the swarm is either too small or changes too fast) you can upload more than you downloaded, hence you're not leeching.

So if you use Mullvad and don't want to be a leecher, always leave your torrents active and uploading after you've downloaded them.

Personally I have mine set to 1.5 upload to download ratio and only seldom does it fail to reach it.
