I tried stainless steel and everything sticks to it. It took me a dozen tries to get a perfect egg and I've not been able to replicate it.

My 46" Sharp Aquos that I paid $2,000 for in 2004 is still chugging along like a champ. It's been used nearly daily.

I am and old millennial and have pretty much considered my wife and I somewhat upper middle class. We never paid attention to grocery prices, took a vacation every year and were able to put away money for retirement. And while I am fortunate enough to still be doing well, that comfort and buffer we had has all but dissappeared in the pandemic.

But the gist is that it was some very clever marketing.

I am convinced that being "smart" in high school and college stunted my career. I didn't do any work in high school, and had like 2 classes that I'd consider difficult in college. I never learned the value of hard work.

I wonder it's because it attracted a bunch of people who weren't into games, but are huge Harry Potter fans.

One thing I will also suggest is looking into https://home.tdarr.io/. It's software that will re-encode your media to h265, saving you a lot of space. I just set it up on my synology NAS because I am at 80% storage and don't feel like buying another drive yet.

This might eventually help us understand how to extend human lives.

There are millions of youtube videos uploaded every single day. Why do I always get the exact same stuff in my recommendations? And why does YouTube shorts keep playing the same clips over and over again? Even the ones I disliked.

I got diagnosed with ADHD in my 40s. So, believe me, I learned this the hard way.

Motivation doesn't work because it's fleeing. You need to learn discipline. You need to to learn how to do the thing even if you don't want to do it.

Even with the value of your house and 401k, it's still very hard to believe. I just did a quick Google search and the 90th percentile in 2001 is 1.6 million, which seems more accurate.

Top 10% of the US population has a net worth of 4 million? That does not seem right.
