  • Yeah! It can even compile to JS and the JVM! Interestingly, it also supports the functional paradigm as you can see when programming with Compose.

  • put me in a dress and call me Sheryl

That's a colorful expression if I've ever seen one

  • Yes, but that probably also prevents websites from adapting to your window size better.

  • Saying that "that image is responsive" confuses me. Do you mean the resized website behaves like the image?

  • That's not what I mean by responsive. Look at the first image in the article, and now resize the window. By disabling media queries, that probably doesn't happen anymore.

  • Or Kotlin, which is much more "Java but good" as it even runs on the JVM

  • Rust is as much of a Java killer as C++ is. You could say Rust is the C++ killer, but I really don't see how Rust would be that comparable to Java, which operates at a higher level instead of memory and pointer management. IMO, Kotlin is the Java killer.

  • Sure, you can get fingerprinted if you have a unique window size, but do you really want to disable that at the cost of disabling all responsive websites?

  • Looking at that, why do some browsers block media query screen size by default??

  • I don't use ClearURLs because it breaks some websites and doesn't implement a blacklist

  • @Sean Nice pun :D

I don’t think requiring users to use a really long and virtually unmemorizable password (the private key) would be a pretty good idea for a social network either.

  • All extensions are technically open source because they “compile” to JavaScript. Most, including the one I use, don’t bother obfuscating

  • I use a Firefox thing which has additional features and is free
