“Bullied”? I mean, the open source app the trademarker wanted to replace wasn’t popular either, and I don’t see how the heck “kik” could be related to something for creating templates. Neither do I see it for messaging, but that is a trademark.

In this case, we believe that most users who would come across a kik package, would reasonably expect it to be related to kik.com.

IMO, the dev was the asshole in that case.

Because the Vision is a first generation (unoptimized) product that has way more hardware features, such as cameras to see through it from both directions. Even the Quest Pro weighs 720g. Plus, it’s Apple, so they use some aluminum.

The LGBTQ part only got into headlines about this because this thing might open up censorship in general, like book ban requests in Texas. It provides no path to prevent the harms to children described, meaning platforms could censor much legitimate and normal speech in an effort to prevent harm. An EFF article also says it'll have Attorneys General determine what counts as harmful to kids, meaning opening up censorship, but I can't find that in the bill text.
