It's such a damn shame, too. Destiny 2 was some of the most fun I've had in gaming over the last decade. Absolutely jaw-dropping environments at times, clever encounter designs, the gunplay, so many things to love. And I have no doubt Marathon will be a hell of a thing from what I've seen. These people can design a game.

But GODDAMN stop stealing art from people. Upper management has got to be atrocious with all the bullshit they've pulled over the years. And you know that bullshit starts at C-suite and rolls downhill.

Just a damn shame.

Well I take some issue with that. What's happening isn't because everyone's dumber than you are, it's happening because powerful people have systematically worked at making this happen. They fuck our schools, they remove our history, they do everything they can to keep this shitshow rolling.

Meanwhile, everyone's just trying to fuckin survive. Someone told people they'd bring the cost of eggs down. That's how politicians work everywhere. They lie to get in power. Here, there, everywhere.

Now, as a blue-collar anarchist I do my best. But most of these people never got critical thinking skills in the first place, and that's the problem.

Education is failing people, and the Right is making sure of it. You'll have this problem wherever you are, given enough time, if you're not careful.

But what do I know, I'm just a hillbilly.

Oh yeah. They've got tons of weird organs thanks to the Emperor's engineering. Most of them are normal super soldier stuff, improved blood clotting, that sort of thing. But they can also produce extremely acidic spit, which helps them break down materials for food in a pinch, or to be used as a weapon. They can also gain your knowledge by eating you. Genetic memory is a thing in 40k and Space Marines aren't the only ones capable of getting at it - see: Kroot.

They can also survive space longer than humans, as one might expect from space-faring super soldiers. Uhhh, what else....

Now, what I do want to say is this: having spent my career surrounded by blue-collar men, there are about 1/3 of them that are the actual ringleaders for fascism. Whatever their camp is. Of the remaining 2/3, I would say half on a good day are still tolerable people. Misled, narrow-minded, problematic, check check check. But tolerable. And capable of being spoken to.

Union organizers know what I'm talking about. You've gotta divide the workers into camps you can get to, and camps you'll never get to. It's part of the process, I've read the books.

Now, those guys. They deserve to have the right people talking to them. It's not their fault the education system failed them. The media lies to them. That bullies seem to win everywhere they look.

But for me, rn at this point in my career, fuck em. I'm done. I've tried. Over and over again. Fights, had em. I work for myself now and the less I talk to other electricians IRL the better. They can all suck a big fat one.

Even if the economy recovers and we don't enter a "recession" none of the other Millennials I know are ever gonna be able to trust the federal government again. In my experience, as a demographic, we tended to lean LibLeft anyway, or at least those of us with IQs and test scores to stay out of remedial classes do. There are exceptions - we all know that guy, and it's always a guy. But still.

It's a pretty good game to start with tbh. 40k is a crazy fun setting, if you like tactics games give Mechanicus a try. Till this game it definitely held the title for "dopest 40k soundtrack" imo
