What, for the fact we have clear data where children are being abused and we just ignore it?
Kids get abused at home, at school, and at church. We don't give a shit about any of that societally.
Churches and schools. I always see people mention church but they never mention that there is a huge issue in just about every type of school too.
Youth pastors need to be put in jail, but we should have way more mental health professionals around schools so they can pick out abusive relationships too.
I also should add, thayt all secondary behind blood family, care takers, and family friends. Drag queen readings are just about the only place where kids aren't regularly getting molested.
We don't actually give a shit about this in society, we know exactly where it happens most, in the home.
I feel like everyone is not remembering just how miserable their lives were. Yeah he was in a house with a family, but their trips were always either a trick or a horrible mistake, like the radioactive lake. Or the cursed town.
The main running gag of the Bundie's was that they couldn't afford to eat and Al's car was barely living. They weren't enviable, they were cousin Eddie in the suburbs.
If by minority you mean white men, agree! If by minority you mean co-opted by oligarchic and capitalistic control masquerading as everyones favorite social issue, agree!
But the ability to discuss and compromise amongst elected officials was the actual Hallmark of our system. Compromise, it got us this far then totally stopped around Nixon when bi-partisanship started up get goosed by the rich.
So yeah, we're oligarchic at this point, but that's the end game of any system that lets money control the system. They don't actually care about religion or LGBT people, those are the levers that you pull for us lab rats.
Problem is humans fall into the trap of tyranny of the majority. A simple majority does not lead to mutualistic leadership, it leads to revenge based point keeping for when your group is finally back on power.
The American system is kinda designed around trying to prevent this by requiring compromise or else you have gridlock.
When the power creep of One Piece devil fruit got too much, they just introduced Haki. Anyone who trains hard enough can do it at a base level, they even eventually broke the full mcguffin of sea prism stone eventually with training and determination.
I'm 100% with you. We don't need mcguffins we need grit! Which are still kinda mcguffins...
That's fair, I shouldn't say pro musk, just researched and cited, multiparagraph long comments relating to the topic. I like specifically looking at comments that are either neutral or indifferent to something bad.
That's the kinda shit where marketing and propaganda meet, politics and the sort of parasocial link to between people and corporations and billionaires.
Everyone just came from already having this argument somewhere else, they've already thought about or discussed it enough to be able to fire off relevant, cited information. I mean including me, right?
No I'm just always amazed that you seem to have come from having this argument already fully prepared.
You can use current data, but if you are ignoring every bit of information that an investor would look at over a period of multiple financial cycles, you wouldn't exactly be as bullish on the value and market share in comparison to other US makers who are increasing deliverables and aren't having the same consistent QC issues.
In addition, Elon is currently leaching value from Tesla to prop up his other ventures. I will be much more invested in Tesla once the board replaces him, which as a lay person I'm guessing they're gonna do in the next year.
Especially now that JB is back on the board. When they voted Straubel back in, Elon's days were numbered imo.
I'm always amazed at the amount of well researched pro musk comments pop up under things like this.
I see at least two multi paragraph, cited comments including yours on this thread. Amazing how fast y'all can just fire these huge sets of data off like that!
Before you go cumming over those financials, Tesla is currently slowly losing EV market share as other US producers bring on their vehicles https://www.axios.com/2023/04/05/tesla-ev-electric-vehicle-adoption.
In addition, worldwide BYD is either outselling Tesla or about to outsell Tesla depending on the vehicle type! All that after being laughed off as competition by Musk. https://cleantechnica.com/2023/02/07/tesla-1-in-world-bev-sales-by-big-margin-2022-world-ev-sales-report/
The American market loss is a matter of time as the larger auto makers being additional vehicles into the market, the global market loss has been written in stone for years now.
You seriously think flipping a person off is an act of aggression worthy of being beaten?
Like those are the two things being equated by you. That somehow a person who raises a middle finger at distance from another person might expect to be followed and beaten, that those two things make sense in this context.
It's that really how you think, or did someone trigger you in the comments and this is your version of being personally butthurt?
I don't know you man, I don't know what you're life is about, but I hope you have people in you life you can seriously talk to about feelings like that.
Your hobbies don't define you, there's no such thing as wasted time. Shit your entire collection could have been peer pressure or competitive in nature, and you just lost your fizz when you primary foil moved on. That doesn't mean the time you spent is worth any less, or didn't contribute to your life in some meaningful way.
Is it normal to have a midlife crisis at 30ish, fucking absolutely! You'll have many crisises, you've probably already had crisis in the past, you'll continue to have crisis in the future. You would be a terribly uninteresting person if you didn't.
If selling some or all of your collection would make a positive difference in your life, and you're questioning why you even have them, then yeah, sell some. You probably won't regret it, those items will continue to have a life and be valued by someone else. But if the thought of selling hurts too much, then it's not time yet. That's ok too.
Just give yourself a break!
That's totally fair. More then fair in fact. We're talking, or at least I'm talking about children living in the United States.
If you want to look at the source of child abuse world wide, then you look at war, famine, child labor, actual slavery (more slaves living now than ever before in history).
Again, drag queens don't make that list, nor do LGBT people in general. The people abusing the most children are their parents.
But in the US again, most people don't give a shit that children aren't just getting killed at that barrier, they die in the dessert by the dozens, maybe the hundreds, every fucking day. All they get is lip service.
