We can't keep tolerating intolerance. That's our problem. We are afraid of being called intolerant so we allow a fascist to spread their ideas about not being tolerant.

I'm sorry but no, it doesn't work like that. The only way to face fascism is through intolerance. You can't dialogue with a fascist, you either kick them out of politics the good way or the violent way. There is no dialogue possible with someone that thinks democracy shouldn't exist. It's black or white, it's either you accept democracy or you're my enemy. There is no option to let them be "a bit fascist" so there is non opinion here. Or rather, there's a correct opinion and a wrong one, and fascism is the wrong one. This is just fact.

And if a fascist doesn't want to understand they are wrong, then the only thing that remains is intolerance.

I worked for a car insurance company in Spain. One of the things that would make rates skyrocket was the postal code. It all comes down to statistics.

The solution is by no means simple and, to do it well, you need a long term plan that includes not only defeating him but also a shock plan for anyone trying to copy him until they return to being a moderate right party.

The solution must include too opening the elections to a more complex system with more than 2 parties and actual alternatives that make people able of voting for something that's not just "the lesser evil".

You really can't see how a smart Trump would be the worst possible scenario? Trump is dumb. A person as evil as him but with half a functional brain would make the world tremble. Of course the world is better without Trump but do we want an alternative that could be more dangerous than him just by the fact of being smarter (something really easy at this point)?

Look, I'm not saying they hit that school (or the previous 5) by mistake, but how can they know that a building called school, managed by the UN, full of children seated in classrooms with teachers teaching stuff to said children, in a zone designated by Israel as a safe zone is actually a school?

About the person losing to him? Nothing. But about the voters? It means that at least half of the people voting (and also a good portion of those who can vote and don't) are either Nazis or dumber than a rock (or both).

There are levels of fascism. A fascist like Trump is dangerous, but given his lack of intelligence, he's less dangerous than a fascist that's smart. You don't want a smart Trump.

Hard to say what would have been better.

There's no doubt removing a Hitler from the US elections would benefit everyone.

But given how dangerous his cult is, can you say without a doubt they would stay calm and just accept their leader got killed? And, above all, that the one coming to take his place would be a less fascist person?

If, hypothetically, this were to happen, I wouldn't mind. Actually I would leave the grave open so they could steal the body easily. And I would not care at all if they claimed they saw him resurrecting even though he wouldn't ever again appear in public.
