Fun fact, Windows has the same permission it just defaults to enabled.

Do you think there is a large overlap of people who buy $600-$900 cards and like 1080p?

My 3080 10GB runs out of VRAM personally at 1440p. I would never get <16GB again.

They clearly believe customers will always buy nvidia over amd so why bother competing just make an annoyingly segmented lineup.

By default devices should expect their requests to go over the internet where DoH is very important. Over LAN much less so ofc.

It is but history has shown it’s not easy and locked down clients do help (see consoles).

The exact details aren’t known yet but likely its basic side loading, so no alternative stores, and probably only for EU phones.

Also 17 is out, so maybe 18+.

Not using DoH is simply a leak of data, every client should use it. If they use it maliciously is a different topic but yeah I wouldn’t say its unlikely.

For the company its the best solution.

If you don’t care about your entire computer except for gaming its fine.

If your computer has any meaningful data then its just depressing that you as a user have lost control of your device to play LoL.

None of these are walled gardens really. That term applies to platforms (iOS) that restrict the user.

Steam and Epic are just stores. The DRM part isn’t even required (for Steam at least).

Using DoH is fine (good), hardcoding a specific server less so.

It does advertise Apple content but its not too bad.

Can you share a screenshot? I’ve used both browsers almost every day of my life since they released. They render the web very similar for me.

Proton has a free tier.

DNS cannot do what ublock does, but it is helpful for non-browsers.

Most mobile browsers can’t. Every Chromium browser is soon getting the gimped Lite version too.

So it’s just Firefox on not iOS.

DBus works very poorly on Windows unfortunately.
