Are you still saying you do this to create "engagement?"

If he's president he can do a variety of things "legally" that benefit moneyed interests in the US or elsewhere.

If his son in law can get a billion dollar loan, trump can too.

If the house is Republican led, there could be no real repurcussuons except in an election.

It would be happening in more places, more aggressively with a President Trump.

Same. This has harshed things by more than a little.

That said, he's getting my vote because my kids deserve democracy.

Sometimes we hold our nose and vote. Because the alternative is so deeply problematic our moral judgement of one is dwarfed by the moral and practical horror of the other.

And to do that, he wants or needs loyalists. People willing to do what it takes until he's used them up or they rise.

Raped, I think. Some of both, but those numbers aren't the result of consensual acts.

It's been in the news a lot. It's good to see the feds doing what's necessary, but from all I've read, this has been a long time coming.

How it got this bad, how it stayed this bad, how people stayed in power... This will be interesting to see unfold.

My heart and thoughts go out to the terrorized inmates. This is disturbing stuff and I hope help and some form of restitution is made available to the victims.

I joined the discord as Sync for Lemmy was being developed and can echo what's said above.

Good dialogue, faster feed back, more back-and-forth on issues.

It just works.

I believe that's the opposite of their point. They're saying he was loudly on Israel's side well before the attack.

It was an attack. There were and are hostages. Whether it was retaliatory can be a topic, but that it was an attack hasn't been in dispute.

Fox had help. CNN did its part.

Meme is a lie. Linux is tofu. It absorbs whatever flavor you hope, but only after performing tasks and you still want the other thing sometimes.

Giffords didn't die and it sent an absolute chill.
