  • You are right. I am, as always, idealizing.

  • I got downvoted every single time I mentioned reports on Reddit. Oh, well. Downvoting doesn't hurt. At least maybe I found a few users who stopped chaotic reposting after reading through my described way of thinking about it.

  • For me, you are. Imagine thematic communities in a tree-like chart: there's the Entertainment community, there's the Music community, and there are the communities by subgenres, music memes community, artists' pains and struggles community. The narrow topic should belong to the farthest branch of this tree, IMO. The higher-level communities (wider themes) should only get posts that do not meet any of the lower-level (narrower themes). The narrow community should form as soon as the high-level one gets regular posts of enough quantity to form one (subjectively).

  • As a Ukrainian, I hate English sometimes. In Ukrainian, we have many ways to make a short title phrase very much precise, but in English you have to speak large to speak clear.

  • there's no freedom of speech during a war. nothing odd, imo.

  • That's very close to the way I do it.

  • you cannot whitelist anything if you don't go to /all

    • animation nsfw
    • ai-generated nsfw
  • 200+ and growing 10 each day. I had few thousands on reddit. sports, non-English, anime, memes, bikini bottom bullshit, mindly circle jerk infuriating balooney. and I got nsfw off. if I turn it on, I just won't be able to calmly read the interesting stuff, I will be forces to tap the bans all day. please stop moving reddit here. kthnx.

  • same, but with more mistypes, as the Ukrainian language has all these word endings that make words longer and harder for the keyboard to guess.

  • I think this time is the appropriate thing not to over-design the game mechanics and the story. The game is not legendary, but very enjoyable.

  • Oh my god, I laughed so loudly that I had to explain this comic to my wife. She thought I'm dying already.

  • I wish Lemmy would grow to the point when these Reddit moments of "I'm a dermatologist, and actually...” happen as usual as they happen on Reddit.
