  • I didn't think there's a specific disorder that results in accent changes. It could be a simple as wanting attention - maybe wanting someone to ask her about it - or it could be she has some psychological disorder.

There is a thing called "Foreign Accent Syndrome," but as I understand it, it just affects the way your mouth and tongue work in a way that others perceive it as a foreign accent. I don't think it would cause shifting from one accent to another.

  • Sure, but he's said a number of things that I agree with, too:

“I’m a Never Trump guy,” Vance said in an interview with Charlie Rose in 2016. “I never liked him.” In February of that year, he reportedly privately wondered whether “Trump was America’s Hitler.”

A few months later, when the infamous Trump Access Hollywood tape came out, Vance warned, “Fellow Christians, everyone is watching us. When we apologize for this man, lord help us.” Throughout 2016 and 2017, Vance liked tweets critical of Trump, including that he committed “serial sexual assault” and was “one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs.” In a set of since deleted tweets, Vance also criticized Trump’s response to the 2017 neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, writing, “There is no moral equivalence between the anti-racist protestors in Charlottesville and the killer (and his ilk).”

  • There are for sure brands that are more perfumed than others, and there are some that are unscented. Of course, the scent is there too mask the pee smell. We use scoop away, which is scented, but not heavily so.

We have a covered litterbox with a little charcoal filter in the lid, and that helps some. Also, since we have dogs who like to look for cat poo roca, we have ours in a closet with the sliding door open just enough for the cat, and that helps too.

  • It's the nature of people, but I think you're going to find it in some jobs/industries more than others. I work for an aerospace company, and they regular tell people they shouldn't be discussing things like politics and religion at work. We're not allowed to wear shirts or put up things that are political or divisive. Stuff like that doesn't eliminate the drama, but it helps. Also, engineers don't tend to be overly dramatic types.

When I was young I roadied for a friend's band, and so was hanging around a lot of musicians and artists, and the amount of drama was kind of insane.

  • First of all, that's bullshit. As I said in another thread:

The electorate is viscerally polarized, and very few people are on the fence about who to vote for - maybe some undecided about whether they’ll vote at all. I can’t imagine there are many people who are going to switch from Biden to Trump because of this, or who will even go from undecided to Trump. It makes no sense.

Second, my political activism stops short of murder. Apparently that doesn't go far enough for you. That doesn't make me a troll.

  • There was a post saying it's too bad they missed, and I said "That's not the way," and got a mess of downvotes. People were arguing that me saying we shouldn't advocate for political assassination means that I'm enabling fascism. I don't even know what to say to that.
