It is intentional. An educated populace knows when they're getting fucked by the upper class. An uneducated populace believe when they're told giving more money to the rich generates jobs or pleases god.

Except all the nazi demonstrations get police escorts to/from the site and maybe a slap on the wrist if they hurt or kill someone.

Republicans talk of a completely free market where monopolies are free to flouish. Democrats talk of a free market with regulations to spur competition and keep the consumer safe - like from being sold only rotten meat unless they pay top dollar.

Unfortunately the American gov't is now just a revolving door of C-level execs to plunder tax dollars for the bottom line and to fuck over they very same people generating the labor and paying the taxes.

Who can afford to have a baby? Everything needed to care for one like formula, diapers, and clothing has shot up in price.

Not to mention, every so often one or more big brand formulas or baby food gets recalled due to lead contamination or something and who knows how long you've been feeding it to your child before the recall is announced.

There's micro-plastics in mothers' breast milk too. The babies can't win.

Oh, and you want raise your family in a home of your own? Not likely. Even small rundown houses that need to basically be taken down to the studs and redone cost a king's ransom.

If you find one hopefully you don't get outbid by the venture capital backed companies offering over asking price. Maybe if you're lucky, later on you can rent that same house from them for a monthly fee twice of what the mortgage payment would be.

There are a million startups chomping at the bit to create or have their existing app become the TikTok replacement in the event it does get banned.

This is the nature of American Capitalism. A monopolistic entity is broken up for this reason or that thereby making way for competition. According to all those economists, competition is good and breeds innovation.

I put my mom on Ubuntu with KDE 10 years ago. I had far less problems with her on Linux than I ever did with Vista and 7. It got to the point she was calling me multiple times a week.

I didn't have to but I did one Ubuntu reinstall in that entire time only because I made /boot the default partition size at installation and years later it filled up constantly. I got sick of going over there to clean it up and it coincided with her getting a new computer.

When I see a $70 game my very first thought is an over-promised under-delivered mess barely beta quality that contains Denuvo or some other shitware that had higher priority to work at launch than the game itself. Not to mention a day one patch the size of the entire install, login servers that can't handle the load, graphical glitches, and constant framerate drops.

That $30 game is $70 because it's a hot genre and other no name shops a fraction of the size sold a million copies at $30 so this exec's massive studio with its executive team's millions of combined man-hours could sell it for $150 and gamers would buy it because the reputation alone is worth $100 per copy according to them.

Huh? There have always sects of Protestantism that were more conservative, but by-and-large Catholicism is against birth control, abortion, homosexuality (maybe not this pope, with homosexuality) but trans rights, priests marrying, women worship leaders, etc. Sure not one Protestant sect is going to allow everything, but growing up Catholic and then converting to Lutheranism they didn't have a problem with birth control, pastors having families and stuff.

And that not mentioning the more liberal small churches that didn't had exceptions to everything.
