  • I work for a small dev company. We have no idea what other silos are working on. Only 1-2 people at the very top have some sort of inkling.... Maybe.

In a company that large.. I don't doubt that projects get filed under a very large encompassing epic (or the equivalent for what ever scrum software they are using) and not overly discussed with the business majors / marketing people that are the c-level people now.

  • I'm of the mindset that you bought the domain you can do with it as you please. Where I think you'd get into "trouble" is if you were talking about piracy or something associated with their IP.

And the best possible outcome is they contact you and buy it for some much larger amount than you paid for it.

  • Yeah ranked was bull shit.

Some of my best gaming times was being drunk and playing with friends.

But man.. the community became so toxic.. and once it went free to play.. it went to complete shit.

I'm not going to spend $20 on a goal explosion.

    Fuck all that noise.

  • My wife had a kid about a year ago now.. before that I had been dual booting win10 on one drive.. kubuntu on the other..

I kept win10 for rocket league... When the kiddo popped out. I didn't have time to play... Anything at all actually.

So I just turned the win10 drive into a storage drive and I don't miss win10 or rocket league at all.

Any games I want to play I can install via steam and proton and I'm good.

Not that I get to play anything with an 11 month old. Haha

  • Udemy. Video classes for nearly everything ever IT.

IT changes and morphs over time.. but the basics are static.. get those statics. Decide what direction you want to go and design a learning path.

No need for college education often times

  • It's a different world now.

All jokes aside. Anything you use these days is going to be pretty stable, have all of your driver's (unless it's absolutely the bleeding edge) and play steam games.

Hell Nvidia isn't even an issue anymore.

    But I'll qualify that by saying I'm on a 47xx i5 and a 1060.
