Kind of, except the credibility is given by ppl attaching their name to it instead of ppl paying for it

Its so cheap to just get a vps from a littlecreekhosting deal, I checked them all on lowendtalk and its the cheapest for highest specs, you do have to comment your invoice to double ram, but its 4 core 8gb ram for 3.50 a month and 8core 16gb 7$ cogent amd epyc, and solid ssd space 140-160 idr exactly, they have multiple deals posted, the one with the prices I mention is the best one, they also had windows vps deals. Spent way too long testing hella, its not the best ping out there for me since I'm fairly far but I'm not hosting gameservers so its a non issue.

There are many other deals on lowendtalk but they are typically for way less resources or way more expensive for a lot more resources

That was the goal of big corporations and more simplification over time and less customization, went from webdev not seeming viable since every mf could make their own website and would to everyone being incompetent to the point they cant use websites and can only use the few popular apps.

You could also host friendica or streams to access the same content if you know what communities you want to sub to, the apps suck tho compared to lemmy

Everything you're saying is more a reason to swap back to windows than stick with linux, you ltierally have less options with linux all of the linux options still work on windows

Lmao if you find an open source tool that competes with houdini, let me know. I found it extremely easy to pirate on windows, it takes a long time to find a crack on linux, if I do, it is usually out of date.

I have only pirated davinci resolve studio on linux and some blender addons, like 25% dont work, while I had a ton of pirated software on windows. (marvelousdesigner, embergen, houdini, davinci openfx addons like redgiant, borisfx syntheyes, touchdesigner, resolume etc.) A lot of stuff that adds up to 1000s of dollars a month for hobby stuff that I use sporadically.

Im not even gonna try to learn music creation again, just assuming ableton and flstudio would both be issues.
