I see the logic in what you're saying.

But I've also seen some worry that if Trump loses (and he damn well better lose), when the CR expires about a month before Harris' inauguration, this possibly leads to government gridlock, thereby emboldening another January 6 attempt.

Personally I expect another J6 whether the government is funded or not, but I'd feel better about things if it was funded.

Look, the important thing here is for Johnson to maintain his true-orange loyalty status. He would never let trivial matters like government funding get in the way of that.

After Feige owning up to the recent quantity over quality issues, and allowing Deadpool to trash the Multiverse handling, it seems to me AAA has to be good. Hopefully this isn't just wishful thinking

I had a similar impression she's been keeping a lower profile for awhile. I don't keep up with her apart from headlines, but until last week she'd seemed quieter.

I don't know how anyone can watch this and not feel Trump is exposed as being nonsensical and vindictive. I feel hopeful that Kamala is changing plenty of undecided minds, though I wish she'd been able to expand more on policy and less on Trump's lies.

After he loses the election and gets sentenced, I hope to never again hear from this scourge.

It wouldn't be surprising to hear the influencers knew full well they were being funded by Russia.

Nor would it be surprising to learn they were completely duped since they're into that sort of thing--just like their followers.

Basically their argument is "we would hate for him to face consequences for his actions from two elections ago because he's, uh well, running for office again".

To his credit, Biden adhered to the give/take of ideas with Trump. It's courteous to let the other person speak and I'm sure he thought those watching would clearly see he's the reasonable person in the debate. Since Trump has no such courtesy, he just ran out the clock with nonsense, making Biden look weak/confused rather than reasonable. So they wanted the mics cut. I think they're confident in Harris' ability to put Trump on his ass when he tries with her.

Back to the Future on NES. All I remember is a series of pain in the ass mini games having little to nothing to do with the plot. One of them was called "That Sinking Feeling", where Marty apparently had to platform his way out of his own stomach.

And E.T. of course, fuck that game.

I struggle with this too. I think it's because it feels so damned nonproductive to not try and figure out how to make things better. Matter of fact, it feels like how I approach people dumping personal problems at work...indifference I suppose. And that's the last thing I want to show someone I care about. So it weighs me down.

I've taken to asking questions from different angles during the venting, and this seems to be my best strategy. Results are mixed.

I've accepted that I can't be one of these "there, there" people because I don't enjoy feeling useless. I care, what's being said matters to me, but I can't be myself in the situation. And that feels bad.

Maybe she just wants to stay out of it. I think that's responsible since Meal Team 6/Y'all Qaeda attacking her fans is a real possibility.

People are saying it. They're saying he looks too old, too tired to make the cover of Time magazine. Lots of people are talking about it. Have you heard him speak? I had to shut it off, but people say he kept on and on, rambling. Rambling on and saying weird things, lotta weirdness coming from him.

He doesn't pretend to have anyone's best interest in mind but his own. Why people don't see that, or worse support those aims, is beyond me.
