no one on here has ever hid anti-Biden news. I’ll argue they would rather post that than anti-Trump news because of leftist gatekeeping.

A lefty isn’t a lefty if they are willing to let it slide right because they’re sad their options are poor this year.

That’s called an accelerationist. It’s what happens when far left or far right people give up trying to change things in a traditional way, and focus on pushing society to the brink.

Lemmy (and to an extent all social media) is a breeding ground for accelerationist thinking. Most of the comments here are focused on leftist gategeeking in order to persuade them to think in that way.

I used to go to this mall frequently. It is absolutely not the kind of mall where this regularly happens. Lynnwood is just suburbia. This ain’t Everett mall.

Few trans people have bottom surgery. It’s horribly invasive and painful.

You could define trans people as a cultural group. And there could be a trans genocide. However, this isn’t genocide. It’s just bigotry and hate. Sure, it could become genocide if left unchecked, but right now it’s not.

I’m gay. And this isn’t genocide. You could use hate, bigotry, segregation possibly, but genocide requires death, not “sometimes death,” and it’s the whole group, not just the ones who cannot defend themselves. Rich LGBT in the UK are doing just fine.

Genocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

The advocate is a very real organization. However, they lean towards the dramatic. That’s how you get attention to topics that some people don’t want to think about.
