I find that it does the opposite... It starts to dry in a weird direction and no amount of styling or products fix it.

The term was coined by comic book fan (and later writer) Gail Simone in 1999, named after an incident in Green Lantern vol. 3 #54 (1994), written by Ron Marz.

The story includes a scene in which the title hero, Kyle Rayner, comes home to his apartment to find that the villain Major Force had killed Rayner's girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, and stuffed her into a refrigerator.

It describes a trend that Simone had recognized in comic book stories where female characters would be killed, maimed, sexually assaulted, depowered, or would experience other "life-derailing tragedies" disproportionately more often than male characters.

She also emphasized that while male superheroes typically experience noble deaths or resurrection, the violence against superheroines is most often for shock value and has permanent consequences.

Great write-up!! As much as I hate pantyhose, they're my preferred option if I can't go with bare legs.

I second the suggestion to buy a size larger (and taller). The worst part is a sagging crotch and a digging waistband. Depending on the way they're built, I sometimes make tiny cuts in the waistband (like notches that don't cut all the way through) to give a little extra stretch. It doesn't look pretty but no one will see it and it helps smooth out the area.

Oh, and I've tried the crotchless kind and it felt like I was pissing my pants when I went to the washroom. Plus I felt nasty sitting on a public toilet seat with my pantyhose on. So I second your comments on those too ❤️

There's this guy on IG that fake farts in public and records people's reactions. Everyone laughs. 10/10 this guy is my hero.

Once I started having to travel for work and was forced to eat alone, it took the stigma out of it for me. Now I just pretend I'm a traveller in my own city when I want to do something alone. Frankly, I've started to prefer it.
