  • On the one hand I'm glad I no longer live in Florida. FEMA was always getting denied by the governor and the policies are terrible.

On the other hand I now live in Oregon and love it. Some policies have even protected us. But if the big earthquake ever hits and there's no FEMA for the state, it will become destitute.

  • Today's "AI" is just a buzz word for Machine learning code. ML has been around for a few decades and has been used in predictive analytics for those same decades.

A machine that automates a job in a factory does one thing and never changes from that. It doesn't learn and doesn't make adjustments. When talking about "AI" no one is talking about the robot arm in a factory that does 5 total movements and repeats endlessly.

  • He's so smart he thinks 20 moves ahead of his opponent 5 opponents from now before this opponent even knows they are scheduled to play. Thus he's already won and there is no point scheduling the chess match.

  • Path of exile is hard, but not at the start. Even on the first play through, most people are clearing the first boss without death. On subsequent play through you shouldn't ever die. Elon has never actually played the game, so he has no clue.

It's also not even close to as hard as Dark Souls. No Rest for the Wicked is more souls like ARPG.
