I'm late to the thread but am I understanding this correctly? The issue is gaming on a Linux or non-windows pc, right? Also, the general sentiment in this chat room is to not buy the games requiring windows, right?

Are you all high or just idiots? What cinpany is going to give a flying fuck if 1% of their customer base stops buying. 100% of all Linux gamers would have to commit to even make the 1% dent. 🤣🤣🤣

Ugh can't believe I'm guna do this but it's understandable to layoff an employee not knowing they're on maternity/paternity leave since the pandemic. I am only speaking for NY State, and know it's different state by state. After covid they did the paid family leave and maternity leave changes that I thought were done at federal level but could be wrong. If the woman was laid off SEVEN MONTHS into her maternity leave then she was using googles maternity leave plus paid family leave which is federal, plus whatever Cali gives you for time off. Correct me if Im wrong but no state or company is giving 7 months paid maternity leave.

What i was getting at tho is, with some of these maternity/paternity leaves, you can disperse them over a couple months. What this means to an HR dept is, an employee could go thru the company's allowed time off, then use the states, then use the fed.

I know it's google and I'm speaking from the experience of running a small business but HR is making "i's" get dotted, paychecks don't bounce and state and federal paperwork is files for all scenarios that demand it. I could see it being very easy to lay someone off not realizing they are on maternity leave and not just out on disability or sick leave.

I mean who the fuck takes 7 months off for a fuckin baby anyway🤣 what are you guna do jump back into the routine like you didn't miss a step so they layoff your fill in? I looked it up and according to google themself they just increased their l3ave to 24 weeks. So she spent the maternity leave and was prolly using vacation or the other options. In which case why would google be liable?

Why isn't there an unfederated rule banning youtube, Twitter and whatever else links? I only ever see youtube and Twitter. Forcing people to break convenient habits is the only way anything will ever change. I know that mentality seeeeeeems totalitarian but thats only because it absolutely is. Lol

Here's a thought. Leave Facebook and spend more time with family and friends wether it be in person, on the phone or over text. You'll feel better for doing it and your family will be happy to hear from you. Deleted mine close to 10 years ago and have never had a desire to go back.

My bet is on unabbreviated names like Samantha, Nathaniel, Joshua. Any name that isn't already the abv. version. I think people will go towards the Sam's, Nate's/Nathan's and Josh's. No reason to think this just a gut feeling.

Its based on the delivery location. It's like Alaska, some shit is cheaper to pay for air freight than ground service because the ground service is basically non-existent. The ridiculous shit I've seen that label has to trigger more people to react by ignoring the label than ever being concerned of the contents being labeled. Working in quality assurance, checking for proper labeling was kinda part of the job and I used to see the P65 label on fuckin everything lol.

2 dudes showing PDA. Really any PDA makes me cringe but 2 dudes has always grossed me out too much to not turn away. Have gay friends, best friend has a gay dad, Im eskimo brothers with a former chick who was a dude waiting to have the surgery to be a dude before any gender related shit was making headlines, I also worked for years as both a chef and a male nurse that gave me a higher than average exposure to gay coworker dudes compared to other industries I've worked in. I love them all and love(ed) hanging out with any one of them but when it comes to actually seeing the gay shit, I can't do it. I gotta turn away or see what's going on in other rooms. Seeing a dude and a chick or 2 chick's is more roll the eyes kind of cringe but the 2 dudes is more of a physically grossed out feeling. If that's homophobic then fuck it I guess I'm homophobic.

One of the most unexpected games I fell in love with. So many unique approaches to rpg gameplay techniques really made it so refreshing to play. Can't wait to see the what the sequal does to expand on them.

So my hot take is: I enjoy some of the movies while others I do not.

That's the problem with asking such a subjective question. What you hate others love. I thought my friends raving about the slow pace of the game were insane. Who would like that. Then I played and fell in love with all of it.

Where you saw a turnoff, plenty more saw enjoyment.
