  • Oh, the Pinto, with it's missing gas tank design, and later rebranding as the Ford Mustang after killing so many in a firey death. Gotta love the Pinto...

Edit: to be clear, I'd rather drive it than the boxy Prius wannabe.

  • Wait... what's wrong with startpage?

  • Ah. Gotcha. It's super annoying. I wish there was a way to block messages based on keywords, but this isn't really the purpose of Lemmy. I guess, neither is scamming people, but here we are.

  • Used to be alt+space. But I haven't used wine in a while...

  • And it has a flir camera. Not super useful for the masses, but flippin awesome nonetheless

  • I agree. It's actually why I chose CalyxOS. The CalyxOS users and team will suggest a degoogled aosp depending on the posture you provide them, while the grapheneos team and users tend to only ever suggest grapheneos. It feels a lot like the Mac fans of the past. I wasn't diggin it.

  • It doesn't help you since I wasn't there (sorry about that, mate), but, I would stick around (or give you my number for them to ring me, if I was late for work). This wanker's behavior is deplorable, and I won't stand for it. But, yeah lol a brick might be overkill. I was angry when I made the suggestion.

  • In addition to the camera (of which I would recommend one of those camera glasses, so it's always pointing where you're looking), start carrying a visible brick, too. While crossing the street, make it SUPER visible that you have one. It's not illegal to carry a brick, but it informs wanker motorists that you can, and will, use it. I have a mate in New York that does this, and taxis stopped cutting him off while he was crossing the street. He still gets slurs thrown his way, but sticks and stones and all that.

  • Firefox based. Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'mma give this a try.

  • That's why CTO and VP of IT exist. CIO concerns themselves with information, while the CTO or VP of IT handles the technology behind the information as well as the information. CIO is a generally useless position IMO; a title with little expertise in anything relevant.
