There is a 2-way stop around the corner from our house that you have to use pretty much all the time to go anywhere. He was turning left, dude across the way was turning right. We'd told him over and over and over just let the other person go because they are going to go anyway. Well, he didn't listen. He turned (and had the right-away as he was there first) only to be hit on the passenger-side front by an F350 with a trailer. It was very low speed but big-ass truck vs little sedan it was done for. Fortunately, highway patrol had no problem realizing it was the other dudes fault so cited him and his insurance had to pay for the total. Ended up replacing it with a 2014 Focus which is very meh but it's been largely fine.
Which is why I'm going to keep buying older, "dumb" cars as long as a can. Not only do they not have this BS they are easier to work on. My oldest car is a 2012 Mazda3 (after my son totaled the 2007 Accord).
Exactly, it's not the AI bit, it's the rest of the story about how this dude was in a position of power to exploit children (and did so) that's just fucking sick.
Yeah this is a scary, clickbaity headline meant to invoke a negative response about AI. AI is a tool, like a computer or pipe wrench. It can be used for good or bad.
The sicko got what he deserved, but the AI bit is rather over-the-top.
Given that Florida requires a 60% "yes" vote for the proposal to pass it doesn't make a lot of sense to put the money/time into getting it onto the ballot there. It's just not going to happen. Ohio's amendment passed with a ~57% "yes" vote and we are significantly more purple than Florida. I know it sounds pessimistic, but the money/effort are better focused in other states.
Fuck yeah! You love to see it!! I was a poll worker today and the turnout was incredible. I obviously don't know who voted for what but it was great to see.
We all know captain bone spurs wouldn't do anything himself. It's all the crazies that worship him and have a basement with more weapons and ammunition than a gun store.
Yeah and if I recall correctly the default password on these things is like 1234 and rarely changed. So unlocked with a stupid password isn't even close to hacked.
It helps if you have a clearly defined workspace that you "leave" at the end of the day and don't use for other things. It also helps if that workspace is separated from where you normally relax and do home stuff. That basically becomes the barrier where your work stays in and home stuff stays out and vice versa.
It I recall correctly, they can still do it but it's one at a time. They can't do who large batches like normal and there is a huge backlog. They have been doing a few here and there to critical positions.
It's not a very thrilling story...
