I watched it twice and it'd good, but not Emmy worth imo. Definitely had loose plot holes. Although with how weak the commission is other than dune they just might.
- Think you meant Oscars because emmys are for tv shows
FWIW: 76% of Golden Globe winners have gone to win the Oscar for Best Animated Movie. Bodes well for Miyazaki.
I watched Suzume and haven't even heard of this, hmmm.
- Miyazaki did not promote this movie much. No trailer in Japan. It's meant to be watched with zero expectations beyond the poster and the name of the film.
