Hidive will no longer be available in certain areas outside of North America as of 12/14/2023

Why is HIDIVE no longer available in my country?

Real shame and I'm honestly afraid that a lot of their shows will go back to licensing limbo where I live.
Oh well, back to the seven seas if that happens I guess.
I will be affected by that.
- Guess you'll need to unfurl your sails and hit the high seas.
Not a good look for the future. Anime is still a somewhat niche market outside of Asia that it's hard to have two anime focused streaming platforms succeed. With Crunchyroll having Sony's backing and all that it entails, hidive was always going to be second fiddle
Why are they not specifying those certain areas?
