It's supported, but only if your instance has Lemmy v0.19 (not yet released)

I use a greasemonkey script for desktop and the Connect app on my phone to block instances. If I remember correctly, I think someone told me that instance blocking was coming in the .19 update.

We really need this because the amount of garbage I block coming out of kbin.social is maddening. Like, create my own instance and defederate them my own goddamn self maddening.

Is there a way of sharing a list/filter like this that I can copy paste and block the same on my end?
That is an idea I have been trying to get people onboard with. Something like a shared or distributed block list. Think adblock but for lemmy and users/instances/communities/etc instead of ads
