On the whole, as we continue to deplete and destroy their natural environments, we will have more run-ins with animals that DGAF about humanity when they're desperately trying to just survive. Large animals generally haven't recognized humans as natural predators, prey or competition. As environmental pressures on habitats grow as habitats undergo variously anthropocentric destruction and reduction, competition will become more fierce to the extent that humans may now be recognized as predators (fight or flight), prey (viable source of food) or competition (territorial disputes).
