Kevin McCarthy considers resigning from the House before the end of his term

I'm personally not surprised. I wonder if this is to position himself as the GOP candidate for the CA Senate election next year.

Third paragraph: "In a short media gaggle with reporters after publication, McCarthy said he planned to run for reelection, had not considered resigning and he will stick around: 'I’m still here finishing my job.'"
So which is it?
- Headline should be "McCarthy denies baseless rumor-mongering."
