how to passive aggressively flower

Where do the flower meanings come from?
- Me, I make them up
- A small town just south of Dayton, Ohio.
Aw, poor tiger lilies - what did they do to deserve becoming the flower of hatred?
Just get a funeral crown.
- At first I read that as "just get a funeral, clown", which would arguably leave out the passive part completely 😂
  
  the question is: whose funeral?
  because i'd argue that dying on them would certainly be a rather passive agressive 'fuck you'...
  (bonus points if you hand them the funeral invite yourself, then fall dead on the spot)
- Just throw them in a rose bush.
